Second-largest pallet pulling company in the US offering high-quality

pallet rental services with a 99.5% on-time delivery rate, employing 200+

employees, and earning $142M in annual sales (2012).

Director of Operations - East Coast, Puerto Rico, & Canada, Atlanta, GA

(2008-2013)

Operations Manager, Atlanta, GA (2007-2008)

Promoted to Director after serving one year as Operations Manager during a

period of rapid company growth (30% year over year) due to previous success

with start-ups and turnarounds. Directed operational deliverables for 24

depots: 14 full service stations, 5 sort only sites, and 5 pallet

manufacturing facilities. Charged with driving growth in 14 states, Puerto

Rico, and Canada by creating and implementing inventory control measures,

more accurate billing procedures, and cost restraints. Challenged to assess

third party providers, raise customer satisfaction scores, and improve

internal communications.

Key Contributions:

. Saved approximately $900K ($150K annually) by designing and

implementing a daily inventory checklist (DIC) to track and confirm

daily pallet movement through facility; uncovered inaccuracies and

avoided unjustified charges in 40% of third party depots' reports.

. Improved pallet depots' inventory accuracy from 85% (2007) to 99%

(2013) and reduced partner over-billing by up to $10K per month by

establishing and executing a lumber inventory control plan allowing

third party providers to accurately measure and communicate component

consumption.

. Reduced damage rate from 39% to 33% during tenure, saving tens of

thousands of dollars annually per point, by validating and correcting

depot sorts and halting pallet abuse and unauthorized reuse by

distributors and customers.

. Collaborated with VP of operations to inaugurate KPI's tracking third

party partners' performance in customer service, quality, asset

management, pallet first cost, and communication; identified and

replaced seven inadequate providers with new partners having the

growth potential required to handle PECO's rapid expansion.

. Spearheaded the development and delivery of a Field Manager Quality

Audit Process and depot self-audits achieving 98% (up from 95%)

quality accuracy network-wide, translating to 99.7% customer

AMWARE LOGISTICS ( Eagle, CO, 1999-2006

National $60M logistics services provider of resource warehousing, fleet,

return/repair, light assembly, contract packaging and transload operation

for manufacturers and B2B wholesalers; position eliminated in Division

downsizing.

Regional Manager, Pallet Division / Company Safety Manager, McDonough, GA

(2004-2006)

Managed dual role as Regional Manager charged with turning around

underperforming facilities and Company-wide Safety/Maintenance Manager,

reporting to the VP of Operations. Interacted with executive/management

staff of all internal departments, plant managers, customers;

transportation carriers, insurance companies, and auditors. Negotiated with

vendors for equipment and services. Implemented safety program, performed

audits, maintained records, developed reports, interacted with insurance

2004)

Managed startup and development of 7 manufacturing and distribution plants

throughout the Southeast and Western U.S., reporting to the Director of

Operations. Oversaw operations, P&L, and logistics management of Pallet

Division (one of 2 divisions comprising 50% of Company operations). Hired,

trained, and developed plant managers. Opened new facilities and turned

around underperforming plants by streamlining operational and

administrative processes using 5S, lean manufacturing, best practices, and

manufacturing excellence methodologies. Directly interacted with customers.

Plant Manager, McDonough, GA (1999-2002)

Managed startup and day-to-day operations of the Company's largest

facility, a 325,000-square-foot automated pallet distribution center with

200 personnel. Implemented operational, training, and safety systems,

programs, and processes. Led startup of the Company's first automated

pallet distribution center and increased productivity to realize $6M in

annual revenue in three years; developed processes for facility serving as

the model for future plants. Grew Pallet Division from 3 facilities to a 14-

plant operation in less than 2 years.
