Plant Manager

Tag Manufacturing Inc - Chattanooga, TN - March 2007 to Present

My position plans and oversees the daily production process throughout the facility using Lean techniques

and a Kaizen philosophy. Hands-on as needed to troubleshoot equipment issues or fill gaps in the process to

maintain productivity. I am responsible for continuous training and development of supervisors and employees

through demonstration, coaching, and mentoring. I work with the other top-level managers and the owners

to coordinate organizational activities, shift to shift transitions, and achieve the long-term objectives of the

organization.

Accomplishments:

• Increased shift size to 65 employees while reducing absenteeism by 80%, and reduced turnover by a

significant amount. Projected shift growth to 90 employees for 2014.

• Tripled production capacity through growth, increased productivity changes to process activities as well as

the physical workflow routing.

• Have not missed a scheduled workday since 1998. I maintain a 24/7 availability.

was a start up company that opened in April 2005. I was brought in to help develop the facility, build and install

the equipment, and to manage the cutting department.

This position was full-charge with monthly financial statements, payroll, taxes, and budgeting.

Governmental accounting with 3 revenue centers: General Fund, Sewer Fund, and Airport Fund. I supervised

the office area at city hall and had 5 employees that reported directly to me.
