Chemical Professional
Career objective
To associate with a progressive organization and contribute to its growth and prosperity while
enhancing my knowledge and professional skills
Areas of interest
Novel technique for biodiesel production, Renewable energy source, Novel separation technique
etc.
B Tech (chemical engg.) Major Project
Title: “production of elecricity from agricultral waste using pyrolysis and analysis of dye
concentration of industrial effulent ”
Research supervisor: Prof. M A Quazi, Assistant professor, Dept. of chemical engg, Anuradha
engg. College, chikhli Anuradha nagar, sakegaon road, Chikhli- tq- Chikhli Dist- Buldana
Project summary: Production of electricity from wood, wood residues and other solid biomass
has been direct combustion coupled to a turbine – that is, burning biomass in a boiler to produce
hot gases, producing steam from the hot gases via a heat exchanger, and then generating power
from the gas. A ‘biomass-to-energy system’ offers a renewable source of low emission electricity
and heat with flexible feedstock options. Biomass is a fully renewable energy source that is
considered greenhouse gas (CO2) neutral and thus can reduce greenhouse gas emissions
associated with the generation of power. Biomass - including forestry and agricultural resources,
industrial processing residues, municipal solid waste and urban wood residues - is often
considered a waste product. Using a pyrolysis (gasifier or liquefier) to processes this biomass can
create a hydrogen rich syngas or pyrolytic oil which is then turbine distributed generation system,
creating clean energy from this waste.
B Tech (chemical engg.) Minor Project
Title: “production of biodiesel from castor oil under ultrasonic irradiation”
Research supervisor: Prof. M A Quazi, Assistant professor, Dept. of chemical engg, Anuradha
engg. College, chikhli Anuradha nagar, sakegaon road, Chikhli- tq- Chikhli Dist- Buldana
Project summary: The feasibility of crude Castor oil i.e. as raw material to produce biodiesel
under low-frequency ultrasonic irradiation assisted is examined. A one-step transestrification
process (alkaline catalyzed transestrification) was employed to produce biodiesel under ultrasonic
irradiation. Esterification with 6:1 methanol to oil ratio, catalyst concentration of 3.0% w/w and
ultrasonic irradiation time of 30 min under reaction temperature 45 C was selected as conditions
for the alkaline (NaOH) catalyzed esterification. This results to high percentage of conversion to
biodiesel about %. Comparing the results obtained under the ultrasonic irradiation in this study
with those under conventional stirring conditions, ultrasonic irradiation technique significantly
illustrated the higher efficiency than the conventional method, especially for the high FFA oil.
