using PROC SQL, cleaning up data, computing new variables, standardizing data and storing resultant data into data
library. Exported SAS datasets into CSV files to produce reports. Modified Perl script programs for new requirements.
Systems Analyst, CNSI, Suitland, MD 2010- 2012
For the U.S. Census Bureau
Supported Administrative Records Data Preparation Group. Used SAS 9.2 to work on projects that require input from
several national level administrative records such as the ones provided by the IRS and Medicare.
Created new and modified existing programs on Linux and UNIX platforms. Analyzed requirements and constructed
related design elements. Designed and developed program modules consistent with requirements and specifications.
Manipulated large-scale datasets including loading, formatting, editing and merging of data. Performed quality
assurance tasks including execution of datasets/files through programs. Developed, ran, updated and monitored

production programs. Developed using SAS/BASE, SAS/STAT, SAS/MACROS, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/ODS, SAS/SQL.
Constructed technical specifications and produced validated SAS programs.
Systems Analyst, Westat, Rockville, MD 2006 – 2010
International and Domestic Pediatric HIV Studies Network Coordination Center - Under this contract, involved in 3
challenging projects: National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) International Site
Development Initiative (NISDI), HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN) 040, and Adolescent Trial Network (ATN).
In support of NISDI (3 protocols of observational study: infants, maternal and pediatric) reviewed analysis, created
new programs, modified and revised existing programs. Used SAS Output Delivery System to extract statistics and
place them in tables and graphic formats. Utilized statistical procedures such as Proc Tabulate, Proc Freq, Proc Means,
Proc Univariate and Proc Summary. Created RTF, PDF reports using SAS/ODS and checked table shells in the
specifications to match all SAS reports. Optimized the existing SAS code performance using SAS/MACROS and SAS
Proc SQL. Responsible for solving unusual and complex programming tasks and issues.
Supported HPTN 040 (DSMB semiannual reports, FDA annual reports, Reconciliation reports, Toxicity reports,
Formula Feeding Study reports, Virology reports) by reviewing analysis, developing new programs, and documenting
new and existing programs. Extracted and validated data from Oracle clinical and SAS datasets. Modified SAS
programs with the use of SAS/BASE, SAS/MACROS, and SAS/SQL for ad-hoc jobs based on the requirements. Wrote
new and modified existing reports using SAS/REPORTS. Produced reports on weekly and monthly basis. Performed
quality control reviews of SAS programs. Helped write analysis requests for laboratory data quality control and worked
closely with data research associates to resolve laboratory data issues. Researched and resolved user issues.
In support of Adolescent Trial Network (ATN) generated Excel files to select plasma and serum samples with certain
minimum volumes from frozen samples NIH repository using Proc Import/ Convert Excel NIH files into SAS datasets
and Proc Export/Convert SAS datasets into Excel files according to the client specifications.
Completed training on all minimum standard requirements for Clinical Trials Area, including but not limited to,
Human Subjects Training, Confidentiality, FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
Utilized SAS 9.2 on Widows XP platform. Work with Oracle clinical datasets.
SAS Programmer, TRI Inc, Rockville, MD 2006 – 2006
For the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (short term contract)
Supported Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contract. Used SAS 9.1 to work primarily with clinical
data to prepare, manage and analyze data sets. Using SAS procedures and macros created and modified programs for
anthrax vaccine research. Used Proc SQL to generate the listing of the Case Report Forms (CRF’s) for participant by
visits and sites from Oracle databases. Created tables to identify the number of participants with according-to-protocol
(ATP) violations. Developed of interim, semiannual, and final study reports.
SAS Programmer, SESC, Herndon, VA 2006 – 2006
For Fannie Mae (short term contract)
