System Implementation Specialist
MICHAEL SAXBURY
*******.*******@*****.***
I am interested in any technical roles associated with
implementing or automating the implementation of Enterprise
LinkedIn Application Software.
Over the last 15 years I have performed roles across every phase of the enterprise software development and implementation life
cycle. I enjoy system analysis, implementation, and solutions engineering responsibilities the most. I have recently been working
to automate the virtualization of Windows based enterprise software and solution stacks to a private cloud space.
I possess the critical thinking, detail oriented, problem solving mindset required for project success. I am capable of making sure
that the details of the project lifecycle are in line with the overall project scope and business needs. I have extensive experience
working with technical developers but can be non-technical with external and internal clients as necessary. I am also self
sufficient, pro-active, and do not require detailed direction or defined tasks to accomplish set goals. I am forward thinking and can
"see the big picture", which enables me to accomplish the individual tasks that need to be performed next, as well as to determine
how to go about pursuing that movement. These qualities make me very skilled at efficiently becoming an SME on any software
product, system, or process without having to perform as deep a dive as others.
Throughout my career I have focused on the following technologies and tasks:
1. Web related technologies, web apps, web services, SaaS solutions. I have expert level HTML and CSS skills. I can incorporate
javascript, JQuery and mobile. I am familiar with ajax requests and returning data in JSON, XML/XSD/XSLT, raw. I can trouble
shoot all web related items using Wireshark and Fiddler2 debugging tools as well as firebug and IE developer tools. I have coded
ASP and ASPX pages before and am familiar with C# and JAVA/JSP and have experience editing those code sets to fix defects,
general maintenance, and small enhancements. I have intermediate graphic design skills using Photoshop.
2. System and application Integration, DB processing, data migration. I have experience with SQL, VBScript, and PowerShell2.0
for the purpose of integrating system and application functionality, ETL data processing, and data/schema manipulation for
configuring applications, extraction, or initial data loads of customer data. I have used SQL for 12 years in Oracle, MS SQL, and
Sybase. I have experience creating and altering tables and databases, maintenance of those databases (backing up, restoring,
etc.), as well as querying and manipulating the data in those databases and tables. I have used VBScript and PowerShell
scripting to manipulate registry, websites, file system components, and applications. I have also used PowerShell to manipulate
Windows 2008 R2 server WMI components and MS SQL Server and databases. I am mostly familiar with Windows 2008/2008
R2 and .NET 4+. It has been a while since using Unix but can pick it up. I can trouble shoot and resolve problems in Windows
2005 and 2008 server but do not want to be an MCSE or server administrator.
3. Virtualization, pervasive, and cloud computing. I am familiar with managing virtual machines within VMware 4.x and 5.x. I have
experience turning enterprise solution stacks including Windows OS into virtual appliances within VMware. I can import,
configure, power on and off virtual machines. I have experience using a custom C# application that made calls to VMware API's to
create and manipulate VM's. I am familiar with Software deployment programs like VMware vCAC5, Microsoft SCCM Server App-
v processes, but have not used them specifically on any project. I do not want to be a vmware host architecture or software
administrator.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
SYSTEMS ENGINEER – Consulting Services Upgrade Center
Jan 2013 – Present
The TriZetto Corporation. – Denver, CO
• I performed a Professional Services Advisory consultant role leading clients through TriZetto’s enterprise software
upgrade lifecycle.
•
• The upgrade center was a new concept for TriZetto. I used my years of experience within IT to help guide clients through
their upgrades while establishing TriZetto’s official upgrade process and known best practices. I successfully ran project
management, technical project management, database administration, software implementation, and system support
tasks for 3 clients simultaneously while resources and processes were being established. I also successfully mentored 5
resources who were not only new to TriZetto, but also new to enterprise software upgrades in general.

SYSTEMS ANALYST SPECIALIST – Software Research and Development
Sept 2009 – Jan 2013
The TriZetto Group Inc. – Denver, CO
I participated in transforming enterprise solution stacks (including infrastructure, middleware, OS, system integration, applications,
and configuration) into virtual appliances (VMware vApp’s) for MS Windows based software and services.
I was a part of a 6 person team who were challenged with significantly improving the provisioning of TriZetto solutions for hosting
and licensed clients. I contributed process architecture, system analysis, implementation services, and application analyst
expertise to create a solution that reduced the overall provisioning process by 75%. My contribution to the team helped TriZetto
remove redundant tasks and processes across multiple teams and thus save revenue. My expertise in the implementation
process and application analysis successfully contributed to stability and standardization across provisioned products. My
individual contribution also led to my name being added to the application for an IP patent.
APPLICATION ANALYST – Hosting Support Services
June 2009 – Sept 2009
The TriZetto Group Inc. – Denver, CO
I performed web application development on an enterprise web application using ASP.net. I analyzed, fixed, tested, and
then implemented solution changes.
•
• While cooperating with business analysts, whose responsibility was to define issues with the client that needed to be
fixed, I was successfully able to code the necessary fixes, QA test, and promote the solution to production. The client
was successfully able to process more business and improve their customer satisfaction ratings due to the expedited
solution engineering I provided. NOTE: An internal re-organization would force me to work under a different group and
manager that I felt was not a good fit for my career path. I was offered another position in the role above with
opportunities to continue performing technical tasks.
SYSTEMS ANALYST SPECIALIST – Hosting Development and Services
Jan 2006 – Sept 2009
The TriZetto Group Inc. – Denver, CO
I specialized in defining custom software requirements, designing and architecting stored procedure database programs
for ETL processing, and managed the solutions from design through production implementation.
I was able to successfully increase development time of solutions by providing pseudo code and in some cases I developed the
appropriate stored procedures when there were development team resource constraints.
SR. CONSULTANT I – Technical Implementation
June 2005 – Jan 2006
The TriZetto Group Inc. – Denver, CO
I performed Professional Services Consulting tasks leading the technical implementation and management
responsibilities associated with creating custom software interfaces for the TriZetto Facets claims processing
application.
I was able to successfully define interfaces that enabled clients to send data to Facets as well to move data downstream from
Facets to internal and external systems. In most cases the interfaces were associated with general ledger billing, payments, and
claims processing data. I successfully provided thorough analysis upfront with requirements gathering and gap analysis, as well
as expedited implementation processes due to my technical expertise and understanding of the technology. Clients were able to
improve time to market as well as customer satisfaction due to the quality and speed with which I could provide the solution.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSULTANT
Sept 1998 – July 2002
ChannelPoint Inc - Colorado Springs, CO
I was responsible for implementing a custom JAVA/Oracle client/server software package. I performed extensive requirements
gathering, system, application, and business process analysis; software and hardware configuration and implementation; quality
assurance; and technical system support tasks on all environments. I was responsible for the full software development lifecycle
(SDLC) for new system features, support processes, and enhancement upgrades.
I successfully provided total end to end implementation and support for clients. I successfully demonstrated intermediate to
advanced SQL skills within a year and had never worked with databases prior. I successfully demonstrated the ability to read and
understand JAVA code within 1.5 years and was made responsible to provide maintenance to JAVA based tools used to configure
and support the implementation of the solution; despite never working with object oriented code before. I not only successfully
demonstrated the ability to become a SME on third part OCR recognition and HP scanning technologies within 1 year
implementing the solution; I was also well versed with integration points into the ChannelPoint product.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST, LEVEL III
Aug 1995 – Sept 1998
Adobe Systems, Inc. – San Jose, CA
I was responsible for providing product and operating system technical support services to customers through email and phone
support.
I was hired to perform Windows FrameMaker support but within 1 year was already successfully providing support for the Mac
OS, and UNIX versions of the products. Within 2 years, I was successfully providing technical support for Adobe’s
FrameMaker+SGML authoring product on Windows and Mac OS. Within 2.5 years I had been promoted to the highest technical
position possible outside of management and I did not want to move my career down the management track.
