PROJECT UNDERTAKEN
Title FPGA Implementation of TCP Protocol
Organizatio ACTS, CDAC Pune
n
Duration 1 Month
Synopsis TCP is a connection-oriented, end-to-end reliable protocol
designed to fit into a layered hierarchy of protocols which
support multi-network applications. The TCP fits into layered
protocol architecture just above a basic Internet Protocol
which provides a way for the TCP to send and receive
variable-length segments of information enclosed in internet
datagram envelopes. We implemented this in Virtex 4 fpga for
high speed realization.
Title Rotation Sensing using Ring Laser Gyro
Organizatio RCI, Hyderabad
n
Duration 3 months
Synopsis Ring laser gyroscopes are commonly used as electro-optical
inertial rotation sensors which consist of a ring laser having
two counter-propagating modes over the same path in order to
detect rotation. It operates on the principle of the Sagnac
effect which shifts the nulls of the internal standing wave
pattern in response to angular rotation. Interference between
the counter-propagating beams, observed externally, reflects
shifts in that standing wave pattern, and thus rotation.
Advantages including the lack of moving parts and compactness
have given RLGs the edge over their mechanical counterparts in
applications of inertial navigation.
Title Wireless PC Controlled Robot
Duration 1 month
Synopsis Control signals to the robot are given from the PC application
to Parallel Port. This signals are serialized and given to an
RF Transmitter. Receiver on the bot receives the signals give
it to a microcontroller on the bot. Microcontroller decodes
the instruction given by the user and give the control signals
to the motor drivers.
