Acted as Human Resources liaison, handling a variety of HR functions for 500 + employees in Glendale,

Monterey Park Hospital - Monterey Park, CA - September 1980 to April 1984
Processed payroll in-house for 120-200 employees ft, pt, per diem, 3 shifts, worked on weekends, overtime
if needed. Manually processed clock in time cards, generated info into payroll system, ran manual audit
confirming time worked. Printed checks. If discrepancies a check was rerun. Personnel paperwork for new
hires I processed and maintained all confidential personal information. Reference checks, license verification,
orientation, physicals, up to date licensing for nurses, technicians, pharmacists I maintained all files. Medical
Staff maintained doctors files, maintained license verification, mailed out letters from the doctors. Accounts
Payable/Receivables - assisted in filing for Supervisor and organizing bill due dates, while crediting the hospital
with payments received credits/debts.
During 1985 - 1987 I also worked as a PBX Operator for the hospital part time. Enjoyed working for this small
hospital I was able to wear many hats. During my time as an operator I was offered a supervisor position, I
was working for Fremont at the time and I turned it down.
