Operations Manager
International Wood Industries, Inc. (IWI) manufactures wooden boxes to move household goods worldwide; agricultural
boxes for shipping produce such as nuts, fruits and vegetables; and crating, packaging and skids to pack and ship products
for a multitude of industries nationwide. IWI also provides lumber, concrete forming materials, packaging supplies, and
other building materials to its many customers. The company has distribution, warehouse and assembly facilities in
California, Alaska and Hawaii and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Universal Forest Products, Inc., a multi-billion-dollar
corporation that is publicly traded on the NASDAQ (UFPI).
Primarily responsible for managing and coordinating all business aspects for IWI’s operations in Alaska. The
Alaska Division currently includes active manufacturing facilities in Anchorage and Fairbanks. Accountable for
Division profit and loss, personnel, safety, purchasing, shipping and receiving, facility maintenance, continuous
improvement, and product inventories. Finished 2011 with a 44% increase in revenue versus 2010 and a 48%

Director of Operations and Acting President for Real Estate Subsidiary (Aleut Real Estate, LLC)
The Aleut Corporation is an Alaska Native owned, for-profit, global organization. The Corporation includes 17
subsidiaries, a $10 million permanent fund, a $43 million general fund (cash reserves), and several joint ventures with
operations focusing on a diverse range of businesses that include government contracting, fuels & energy, real
estate, private equity, industrial products & services, and natural resources. The Corporation employs approximately 900
people across Alaska, the lower 48 States, and overseas.
Strategic, Financial and Operational Planning and Reporting
Developed, implemented and led the strategic and financial plans for the real estate subsidiary leading to 26% profit
margins. Played an active role in working with four first tier subsidiaries in developing, monitoring and
implementing various strategic and financial plans that provided progressively higher results. Prepared multi -
million dollar annual budgets for the real estate subsidiary, including capital budget requirements for s ix
commercial buildings in Alaska and Colorado, assets on Adak Island, and a trailer court in Valdez, AK. Developed
new business opportunities as they pertained to lands, resources and real estate corporate holdings.
Developed and implemented monthly report of company operations and provided updates and guidance to executive
management. Directed and assisted with the preparation of operational plans, for the purpose of improving business
processes and operations system-wide. Acted as corporate liaison between subsidiaries and the parent Corporation
to provide clear and effective communication between entities.
Operational Leadership and Supervision
Successfully led the reorganization, transition and integration of the real estate subsidiary from a non-staffed

Rapids, MI, UFP is a multi-billion-dollar Corporation that is publicly traded (NASDAQ: UFPI) with approximately 7,500
employees who work in approximately 80 plus facilities across North America.
Plant Manager
Successfully managed and coordinated operations for a 35 acre, 300 plus employee engineered wood component
manufacturing facility with annual sales of $70 million. Established Continuous Improvement Teams for six
departments and multiple machine centers, and improved productivity by a minimum of 5%. In a down market,

reduced expenses through staff reductions and by restructuring the master production/shipping schedule.
Instrumental in the asset coordination and reassignment for operation closing in Teca te Mexico.
Production Manager
Successfully managed and coordinated production operations for a 42 acre, 100 plus employee remanufacturing
facility with annual production over 120 million board feet and sales of $100 million annually. Through
innovations in five departments and 17 work centers, efficiency was improved, enabling the facility to be a top

Effectively monitored, managed and maintained an $8 million dollar plus product inventory for a 42 acre lumber
remanufacturing facility, consisting of hundreds of items. Developed and implemented purchase programs, weekly
inventory pricing guides, tracking reports, min/max inventory guidelines, inventory distribution lists, and
coordinated bi-annual physical inventory counts.
Account Manager
Profitably sold company products within an assigned territory or area of responsibility, with sales of $6.3 million in
