Pharmaceutical services- coordinate nursing continuing education, and OSHA

guidelines. Manages the Escambia County Health Department (ECHD) pharmacy

room applying appropriate inventory guidelines for controls, issues daily

clinic requested drugs, checks-in drugs at close of clinics, secures

special drugs and vaccines as needed. Determines amount of drugs to be

ordered monthly from State Pharmacy for CHD clinics, maintains drug records

in an electronic spreadsheet, and assists with quarterly vaccine

applications for CEs offered under the ECHD provider number to assure

Control Plan. Provides expertise for management of needle-stick injuries

and assures appropriate documentation of incident. Serve on ECHD Safety

Committee. Special Projects- participates or leads special projects as

assigned, special flu initiatives, PHP Ready, Training Day Committee, and

Insulin Program. Participates in community meetings, in-service and staff

development programs related to job performance and contributes to the

general development of the Public Health Nursing Division.
