a limited number of service parts to support the older vehicle market.
• Responsible for starting up and assembling a New Engineering Group: Hiring staff, implementing Procedures, PM
Program in Die Shop and Weld Assembly Areas, Tracking New Die and Assembly Builds.
Direct Report Departments: Tool Room, Engineering (Weld Engineer, Engineering Asst., M.E., Tooling Engineer), Continuous
Improvement and Maintenance.
• Tower Automotive Clinton Plant is a Tier 1 Supplier of Class “A” stampings and finished assemblies to
DaimlerChrysler as well as a limited number of service parts to support the older vehicle market.
• The Clinton Business Unit has the two largest hydraulic press lines in North America, one of them being the largest
press line in the world @3250 Ton and 4000 Ton respectively. The remaining presses range from 1400 Ton to 3000 Ton.
There is also (1) 1500 Ton Mechanical Schuler Transfer Press to accommodate the smaller stampings.
• In the Weld Assembly area, there are over (52) Nachi and ABB robotic (resistance) welders.
