Duties to include assessment and evaluation of potential clients, admissions, case
management and care of clients from admission to death. Managerial duties to include
scheduling, data entry, situation analysis, educational seminars, budgeting, and general
administrative tasks. General management of over 30 employees to include clinical and

Duties include on call assignment of clients with immediate needs, nursing assessment,

death pronouncement and family care. Assisted daytime RNCMs with missed and
additional visits. This is largely an autonomous evening hospice nursing position.

Rural first responder and Paramedic for a volunteer organization. Duties included
assessment and treatment of emergency medical situations to include
phlebotomy/venipuncture, endotracheal intubation, cardio version/defibrillation, labor
and delivery, advance medication delivery including paralytics and narcotics,
documentation, training of new volunteers. BLS/ACLS Certified and trained for LZ
preparation for both civilian and military aircraft. ETA from the scene to the nearest
hospital was generally 40 minutes.
Oct 1989-June 1994 Austin State Hospital (MHMR) Austin, TX; Direct Care

Began as a direct care worker with a client base of 40 mentally ill patients that were
placed by the criminal justice system for long term care. Promoted within 6 months to
shift supervisor over 20 employees. After 6 months extensively trained and promoted to
Certified Behavior Analyst with certifications in short timed behavior modification
coding (using a timed sample behavior checklist "TSBC") and extended timed coding as
developed through our program and the University of Houston.
