Document Control Specialist
• Organize and maintain construction documents and records (drawings, request for
information, change orders, correspondences, etc.).
• Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and project management to
ensure that all documentation is current, with all changes fully documented and
tracked
• Sort and process incoming and outgoing documents received
• Assist with the preparation and processing of outgoing documents and
correspondence
• Research and resolve discrepancies
• Process various documents according to established procedures
• Prepare variance reports on outstanding construction documents.
• Ensure that documents are completed, accurate and in compliance with
procedures.
• Ensure that only the latest document version is given to those who request it.
• Route new documents and related change notices for approval.
• Create project data books per requirements of the contract and quality plan
• Electronically file various record documents such as material MTR’s, work
orders, NDE reports, coating specifications, plating certifications, hardness
reports, weld maps, etc.
• Answer questions, make corrections or inclusions to the data books as required
