Lead Project Engineer
Project Engineering for Design Procurement and Manufacturing of Water
Treatment Systems.
The Task included P&ID PFD preparation, general arrangement drawings,
detail drawing preparation and other drawing preparation for customer
submittal. Prepare bill of material for procurement for procurement and
manufacturing using SAP Production System. Provide response to queries to
Field Service personnel during installation and commissioning. The systems
included reverse osmosis desalination, ion exchange systems UF
microfiltration systems. Maintained schedule of document submittal and
equipment delivery on target. The major projects were:
. WEB Aruba 3.4 MGD (capacity) Seawater Desalination Plant. $14,000,000.00
project value.
Prepared valve and instrument lists, supported major pumps selection and
piping components.
. Black & Veach /Immingham, UK 600 GPM (capacity) Two Train Mixed Bed
Condensate Polishing Ion Exchange system. $1,000,000.00 value. Managed
all project engineering activities.
. MWM/St. John The Baptist Parish, LA 3MGD (capacity) brackish water
reverse osmosis system. $1,500,000.00 project value. Provided all project
engineering activities lead.
. Intel D1D HERO Ultra Pure Water System to include ion exchange vessels,
HERO reverse osmosis system. $3,400,000.00 project value.
. Other projects were Duke Energy Buck UF/RO system, Duke Energy Dan River
UF/RO system, DTE UF/RO system, Formosa Plastic mixed bed condensate
polishing, Shell Oil Co., Montreal softener system, Al-Khairat RO system
in Iraq, filtration and RO system for source water treatment.

Filtration System for Injection Flood in Offshore Platform, Japan Vietnam
Petroleum Co.
Performed complete design and preparation of proposal for the 160,000 bpd
filtration system. Upon award of the project, was responsible for detailed
design, project engineering, and procurement of equipment components,
fabrication and assembly of system components. The process component
included automatic self-cleaning strainers, backwashable filters followed
by cartridge filters.
Water Purification System for Water Pure Co. /Merck, New Jersey.
Performed complete design and, project engineering, procurement of
equipment components, fabrication and assembly of system components for
water systems using reverse osmosis with thin film composite membranes. The
system uses a membrane Clean-In-Place on the skid.
Ion Exchange Demineralized Water System for Brita Resin Treatment Plant,
Derry, New Hampshire.
Performed complete design and preparation of proposal for the 125 gpm water
system. Upon award of the project, was responsible for detailed design,
project engineering, procurement of equipment components, fabrication and
assembly of system components, and providing assistance for installation
and startup. The process component included carbon filter and demineralized
water system.
Demineralizer Make up Water Plants of Cogeneration Power Plants for
Bonneville Pacific/United Engineers and Constructors, Inc. at Garnet Valley
and Black Mountain, Nevada
Performed detailed engineering design; managed procurement, fabrication,
assembly of equipment, and providing assistance for start up. The
demineralizer make up water plant at each site consists of two 180 gpm
trains of softeners, two 72 gpm reverse osmosis trains and two 120 gpm
mixed bed vessels.
Seawater Desalination Plant, Johnston Island Phase I
Performed complete design and preparation of plans & specifications.
Completed final design, involved in procurement and project engineering,
installation and start up. These works included computer projection for the
membrane system and programming of Programmable Logic Controller for
control systems. The plant included Seawater pumping system, inline
coagulation, multimedia filtration, acid and antiscalant injection,
cartridge filtration, high pressure pumping, reverse osmosis membranes, and
pH adjustment and chlorination of product water.
Brackish water Desalination Plant, Hail, Saudi Arabia
The plant has a capacity of 26.4 MGD and uses lime soda softening,
filtration reverse osmosis, and post-treatment including degasification, pH
adjustment and chlorination. Responsible for conducting detailed design and
cost estimating for the project.

Process Engineer
Worked in Process Department and performed process design work involving
material and energy balance calculations, preparing process flow and
instrumentation diagrams, designing and specifying process equipment and
economic studies of project and processes. Worked on the following units

Phthalic Anhydride Plant, Monsanto Co., Texas City, Texas
Collected plant data and conducted process design for plant expansion to
200Mlbs/yr. The process included oxidation of o-xylene by air in fluidized
bed reactor, condensation of crude phthalic anhydride, and purification of
phthalic anhydride by fractionation.

Completed the process design and conducted economic study.
