Highly qualified sheet metal mechanic with extensive training and education to
include production and journeyman sheet metal work.
Qualifications:
• Over 20+ years of experience as TIG and MIG welding sheet metal and stainless
steel experience.
• Layout, fabricates, and erects sheet metal and steel products using blueprints.
Worked in precision sheet metal shops operating CNC press brakes, CNC
turrets, shears, rolls, and numerous of power and hand tools
• Worked in shop assembling and sectioning ductwork. Pulled parts from press
brake or spot welding station to weld shop. Inspected all parts to be welded for
precision accuracy.
• Lay out all parts on bench for complete assembly. Finished product by welding
corners, seam and joints using GTAW. Palletized finish product and ship to
grinding station.
• Worked on the Las Vegas Terminal 3 at McCarran International Airport. My duties
included the dismantling of damaged duct work, repair or replace with new.
Studying plans and specs; layout penetrations in walls and floors for smoke/fire
dampers and install large scale duct work. Operating large booms and scissor
lifts were required to get the job done.
• Pulled parts from press brake or spot welding station to weld shop. Inspected all
parts to be welded for precision accuracy.
• Lay out all parts on bench for complete assembly. Finished product by welding
corners, seam and joints using GTAW. Palletized finish product and ship to
grinding station.
• Worked on commercial buildings installing air handling units, fan coil units, VAV’s,
exhaust fan systems and all the required sheet metal duct systems. Other duties
were architectural metal, metal roofs, cap flashing and counter flashing.
• Primary duties were to install kitchen hoods, run exhaust grease duct work, hang
duct work, and install louvers, registers, grilles and diffusers according to plans
and specs. Other duties were fabricating sheet metal duct work and welding in
shop.
• Primary duties were to assist journeymen hanging sheet metal duct work using
high jacks and ladders, seals duct work using DP1010. Stage material where
duct work is needed.

Journeymen in Air Conditioning and Sheet Metal Industry
5 years of studying the fundamentals in the air conditioning industry. It included but not
limited to a classroom studies, shop layout training, welding, drafting, blueprints,
plans/specs, and safety, emphasizing on sheet metal duct work. Other studies were
learning practical fundamentals of AutoCAD in the classroom and designing intricate
HVAC systems on multi-level commercial buildings.
