The Ministry of Labour and Social Security is the Government's Official

response to unemployment and social development issues. One of its many

departments, Electronic Labour Exchange (ELE), was established as an

employment bureau to provide employment to the nation's jobseekers locally

and overseas. ELE is a part of the Jamaica Labour Market Information

System (LMIS) which also consists of the Planning Research and Monitoring

Unit. LMIS is a job matching facility that also provides statistically and

research information on the Jamaican labour market.

Business Analyst

. Developed a Strategic Business plan to devise a structured

redevelopment and enhancement of the services provided by the

Electronic Labour Exchange

. Consulted with members of the LMIS team, users of the systems and

stakeholders as well as engaging in outside-the-box thinking to provide

added services (user requirements) for a more user friendly, responsive

and enhanced job placement mechanism through website for the Electronic

Labour Exchange which is a part of the LMIS; provided help desk support

and training for users

. Monitored project progress and produced reports by tracking activity;

resolved problems using mitigating strategies; recommended actions as

well as overseeing proper maintenance and functionality of the website

once it was deployed and regular updating of website information
