Personal Profile
North Shropshire College - Lecturer, Motor vehicle. Responsible for the running of the MV
workshop, NVQ assessments and additional courses, including.
Care for your Car, a ladies evening class, producing the coursework.
Preparation for entry to the Uniformed Services.
The Marches School Link Project. A course for Disaffected or disengaged pupils from a local
school.
Chrysalis Youth Project - Motor Vehicle Tutor, Initially I was responsible for the delivery of the
existing curriculum, but the course was unachievable for the students.
My remit extended, to developing the course content applicable to the academic capabilities of the
students.
The courses I was responsible for delivering and producing the coursework for, motor vehicle,
motorcycle and kart maintenance for groups of excluded pupils from local schools.
Practical assignments were an integral part of the curriculum and these assessments were
undertaken in the classroom and formally assessed by myself.
The modified and adjusted courses provided the students a wider scope for achievement with
extra supervision as required.
Quote from Andrew Talbot, Deputy Head of the school of professional studies, North Shropshire
College
