"I had the distinct honor and privilege to serve with Lisa Sylvia during her military career. During
OPERATION DESERT SHIELD/STORM I was the Battalion S3 (Operations Officer) and she was my
Assistant S3 (Operations Officer) for a Corps Support Battalion with twelve companies, with over 2,500
soldiers assigned and prosecuting missions in support of US and Coalition Maneuver Divisions from Tap
Line Road (West Kuwait Boarder) into Iraq. During preparations for and during the ground war, sleep was a
rare commodity, and more of a luxury that none of us could afford, so adrenalin was our companion. In the
face of mounting pressure and uncertain conditions, with soldiers supporting units in contact and at times in
contact themselves, Lisa’s performance was flawless. Her natural leadership abilities shown through at every
calling and I could rest assured that any mission she was planning would be thoroughly coordinated,
integrated, synchronized, and there only remained execution that went extremely well because we brought all
our soldiers home. At every turn, I was impressed by Lisa’s uncanny ability to make the difficult appear easy,
and to succeed where others would fail. As a result of our service, and her total commitment to supporting the
unit and myself, I owe her a debt of gratitude that I can never repay to my - BATTLE BUDDY! God bless
you and all your future endeavors. Lisa Sylvia is an adroit leader that is quick to grasp any envisioned
mission or project, develop a low risk high return end state, broad-based and unlimited knowledge base. She
is an asset to any organization with which she associates
