Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing the Secretary-Treasurer’s calendar. Meet with both internal and external
executives, assistants, and consultants.
• Responsible for preparing meetings and events by preparing appropriate documents, information, and
directions to location. File forms and order office supplies. Keep track of inventory.
• Point of contact for all phone calls to the Secretary-Treasurer and answer inquiries when possible.
• Record Executive Board and Delegate Meeting minutes. Type, prepare, and mail said minutes to E-Board
members and delegates. Attend Executive Board and Delegate monthly meetings.
• Prepare all documents, correspondence, and other appropriate information.
• Arrange travel, prepare itinerary for Secretary-Treasurer and senior staff.
• Act as a liaison between affiliated unions and the Central Labor Council. Build and maintain relationships
with affiliated union leadership and staff.
Accomplishments
I have gained knowledge on how to manage an executives calendar. One of my accomplishments is learning
how to run a phone bank during an election along with precinct walking. I have accomplished how to make
election packets and provide information.
Skills Used
I have used my strong computer skills such as MS Excel to provide voter information, MS word for documents
such as agenda and minutes for the executive board. I have used MS Powerpoint for presentations and Outlook
to manage emails and my bosses calendar.
I have applied strong teamwork skills with my co-workers because we all try to help each other and find ways to
improve the office. Also, used my problem solving skills to speak with individuals who are upset with something
within a union.
Clerical Aide

Responsibilities
Customer service. Greet and provide students with information about the college, counseling services, such
as programs or degrees that the college offers, and transfer programs.
• Responsible for answering multi-phone lines and directing calls to the right department. Answer general
counseling questions.
• Schedule and check-in appointments. Keep record of student’s walk-ins.
• Create individual student files. Update student forms and contact information.
• Manage incoming and outgoing fax. Manage and sort mail. Responsible for ordering office
supplies and checking that all counseling forms are current.
• Support counseling faculty in daily duties. (Printing transcripts, getting student contact
information, and student ID numbers)
Accomplishments
I think that what of my accomplishments was able to work with individuals with different needs and was able
to help them. For example, there were individuals who had a difficulty speaking or explaining their needs at
the college because of language barrier, so with patience and trying to understand them I would be able to
help them. I grew a lot of patience and compassion with helping individuals. This has lead me to want to make
a difference in individuals lives.
Skills Used
I used problem solving skills, for example individuals were not always able to make an appointment with a
counselor due to budget cuts so I would find other options for individuals to speak with counselors. Also, I
used good communications skills with my co-workers and customers. I did my best to provided customers
with the best and most accurate information regarding counseling services and other college programs. I used
Microsoft skills that lead to me to have strong proficient knowledge on MS World, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint
and Outlook.
