WORK EXPERIENCE

Dynalectric of South Florida Miami, FL

Journeyman/Wireman December 2004 – May 2013

• Miami International Airport: A-B terminal, C-D infill, concourse J.

o Job requirements included being up in the air fixing, repairing and replacing the transformers in the apron lighting for the airplanes. Many of the transformers were replaced and re-wired in midair. All the lights had to be installed and adjusted according to specifications. Installed pipe ranging from inch up to 4 inch all around the terminals (EMT, Rigid, IMC). Installed and troubleshot lights and receptacles throughout the airport. Worked on motors, motor-controls and PCA rooms. Built a new Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) room that needed to be piped and wired from start to finish. Installed devices for the chillers, landed the wires in the control panels and for the fire-alarm. Installed and mounted panels and switch-gear ranging from low voltage up to high voltage (120v-480v).

• Tank Farm at MIA: the most advanced Tank Farm in existence.

o Located just outside the airport, the Tank Farm is where the fuel for the airplanes is stored. Responsible for all of the cathodic-protection installation in and around the Tank Farm. This job was a new construction; the old Tank Farm had burned down a few months before. Installed new pipe and wire throughout the facility, ranging from all new duct-banks to piping in all the motors and controls which was done in rigid piping. Set and mounted all the pole lights and exit signs and interior lights. Piped in the underground for the electrical and generator rooms.

• Port of Miami Tunnel Project: rebuilt and remodeled terminal D.

o Tunnel Boring Machine, helped with the control wiring in and on the TBM. Prepared the machine for the big turn-around. Remodeled terminal D at the port of Miami that included lighting, fire alarm and a variety of other duties.

White Electric Miami, FL

Apprentice/Electrician June 2004 – November 2004

• White Rock Quarry: installed cable-tray and pipes. Pulled wire and cable, mounted panels and set switch-gear. Majority of job required pulling wire from tech-cable up to 750 mcm. Worked with the welders mounting disconnects and pulling wire and cable to them.

• Received Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Certification.

Electrician June 2003 – April 2004

• Miami Seaquarium: Brought all electrical work up to code within the NEC. Piped in receptacles, fire alarm and lighting. Pulled and landed wires in electrical and fire alarm panels.

• University of Miami: Complete rebuild and remodel of library. Piped in and worked on the Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) systems and all other electrical duties. All of the lighting and receptacles were a new install.
