Presently I am interning at Heartland Forest in Niagara Falls, Ontario. I am assisting in the planning of
two events: Family Day Winterfest and Big Bang Charity Fundraiser. I have gained experience in
soliciting donations, sponsorship, floor plans and volunteer recruitment.
Many Soups for Many Hands
From October 2013-April 2014
Many Soups for Many Hands is a nonprofit soup festival and marketplace that I helped plan, organize
and execute during my time at Niagara College. I was the logistics coordinator and had first hand
experience in the planning, policies and preservation for this event. We raised over $7,000 and had an
attendance of approximately 300 people.
Seasons On The Bay Restaurant and Banquet Facility- Belleville, Ontario
From April 2013-September 2013
As a server, banquet worker, bartender and assistant I had the opportunity to learn many aspects of the
Event Industry. Varying from golf tournaments to weddings and conferences, I took advantage of
every experience I could get. During my time here, I was given more responsibility and authority,
which helped build my leadership role.
My Place Bar and Grill- Fonthill, Ontario
From August 2012-April 2013
As a bartender and server my duties were serving/handling food and spirits. This restaurant is high
volume and requires many multitasking skills. During a shift, I would bartend, serve guests and attend
to take-out orders as well as run orders for the neighboring bar. My serving experience and knowledge
greatly improved at this establishment.
Bushwood Golf and Country Club- Markham, Ontario
From April 2011-August 2012
My duties include serving food as well as many drafts and spirits. I was also a weekly beverage cart
server as well as banquet employee. At Bushwood I have learned and obtained opening and closing
procedures, up selling, strong memorization skills, cash out as well ask problem solving and team
player skills.
