Objective
3
I am a determined, goal oriented individual looking for an opportunity to contribute to a developed,
well balanced organization as a recruiter. My experiences provided me with many different
opportunities and challenges in many different settings, which resulted in my personal growth.
Some of these include group mediation, conflict resolution, business planning, bookkeeping, power
point presentations, and observation skills. My leadership skills have improved greatly due to my
experiences throughout my senior year of college. I am a confident, thorough, dedicated individual
who is looking to obtain more experience in the Human Resources Department of your business.
Experience
HILTON HOTEL
EVENT PLANNER ASSISTANT Summer 2013
At the Hilton’s Above Rooftop Ballroom I was directed to work as a promoter to maximize table
sales, party scheduling, and communicating with customer’s interests. As an assistant I responded
to voice messages and e mails regarding reservations/cost and resolved all issues that arose prior
to event. Likewise, I used social media to promote the company’s events and different availabilities.
I responded back regularly to all questions, and provided further information about the company. I
assisted the event planner to help provide an organized, successful event and make her job less
stressful. With this experience I learned a great deal of customer service skills and appointment
scheduling organization.
THE GREENROOM Assistant Manager Fall 2013 Current
Greenroom is a local bar in Plattsburgh, where I work as assistant manager. As assistant manager
I am responsible for payroll duties, scheduling and event planning. Additional duties include
organizing parties and events, which includes food orders, liquor orders and guest capacity
measures. As assistant manager I provide positive reinforcement to allow business growth and a
team environment. I schedule and set the agenda for periodic employee meetings that are
designed to boost employee morale, address any problems that are occurring in the workplace,
and receive feedback from the staff which may positively impact the guest experience. I have been
involved in the interview processes and employee recruitment. My education and this hands on
experience have provide me training to decide whom you would like to work for your company and
why. Employees are a very valuable asset to business and choosing the right ones saves money
and provides a foundation for success.
TBI COGNITIVE REHABILITATION CENTER
Internship Fall 2013 Spring 2014
The Cognitive Rehab Program is a credited internship throughout my senior year of college. I work
alongside doctors and specialists to provide needs to adults who have sustained a Traumatic Brain
Injury. I organize weekly group lesson plans and activities for building teamwork. Much of my
attention focuses on having my patients regain mindfulness and moving beyond “limitations” that
specialists provide. I also create detailed power points and worksheets that are used as tools to
assist in patient care and rehabilitation moving beyond limitations is something I find necessary for
big businesses to develop and was a powerful skill that I helped my patients obtain.
