Summary:
Skilled Engineer with excellent technical, analytical and communication
skills demonstrated by >28 years of engineering plant equipment, design,
process improvement, and MODS/upgrade experience. This Engineering
knowledge and experience has covered all engineering disciplines. (I & C,
Civil, Electrical, Structural & Mechanical) The new designs and upgrade
experience has included: Nuclear, Oil & Gas, and fossil power plant new
construction, construction upgrades of power plants, new plant
commissioning and start up, hydraulic systems, air controls, industrial
chemistry, DC and AC power, robotics, computer controls, piping,
audio/video, machine shop practices, welding, Project Management, and
assembly and design of control systems. My experience has taught me many
"lessons learned" that I apply in my daily activities from all of the
plants that I have worked within the USA and strong work ethics,
dependable, self motivated, positive attitude and team orientated.

Civil/Structural Field Engineer
Keystone Oil Pipeline Project, Cushing, OK. August 2013 - January 2014
(>500 M)
Verify quantities of construction daily, initiate RFI's and NCR's, design
field modifications, structural fit up problem solving, technical support
for foremen and workers, JSA, JHA safety mentor, oversee subcontractors,
and lead in daily construction activities. Providing support duties to
company management to insure construction work complies with all
engineering standards, codes and specifications. Read and interpret piping
isometric, piping plan, pipe support, structural, concrete, civil site
plans, and mechanical drawings. Research and resolve drawing interpretation
problems, conflicts, interferences and errors, and add new design changes
that were needed. Prepare field design change requisitions, "as built"
drawing changes, and monitor incoming material as required. Track and
verify that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings and
specifications and coordinate all technical queries between Supplier,
Engineering and Fabrication site and Client during the different phases of
the project (Project Assignment)
TeleCAD Wireless,
Chattanooga, TN
Senior Designer/Field Engineer July 2013 to September 2013
Traveling throughout Georgia and Tennessee providing audits and updating
AutoCAD drawings for the clients Cell Tower installed Instrumentation
hardware information. Assisting with new design for Cell Towers which
includes wiring, conduit, buildings, general arrangement, connections,
power plant panels and miscellaneous Cell Tower modifications. (Contract
assignment)
URS Corporation
Crystal River Power Plant (EPU/Plant upgrades >500M)
August 2012 - February 2013 Crystal River Power Plant
Electrical I & C/Mechanical Field Engineer
Designing/implementing power plant modifications, which included walkdowns
of plant systems and coming up with new upgrades, designs and documenting
on new drawings using AutoCAD
(I & C, P&ID, Civil, ISO, Electrical, & Mechanical) (Lead Designer on site)
The initial modifications, process improvement and/or new plant hardware
were specified by me. During the design phase, I was responsible for the
instrumentation, piping, panels, controls, mounting instructions and all
associated hardware selections. New Fukushima plant upgrades for flooding,
power, and procedure upgrades. All of the design changes were implemented
using Engineering Change (EC) packages with all engineering codes and
standards in place. (Plant Closed in February, 2013 Laid Off)
Bechtel
TVA Watts Bar Unit II Construction (>3B)
January 2008 - June 2012 Spring City, TN
I & C Design/Field Engineer
Upgrading the main control room panels by walkdowns and producing field
reports with detailed sketches for new equipment and instrumentation that
were to be retro fitted in the existing control room panels. The drawing
documentation was implemented using AutoCAD/Raster. (I & C, P&ID, Civil,
ISO, Electrical, & Mechanical drawings) Verifying instrument lines,
instrument piping, instrument panels, and associated equipment that are in
place and make design changes that are needed to update to present day
standards for all of the instrument panels throughout the power plant.
Initiate engineering design change packages (EC, EDCR) Lead designer for
the redesign and updating of the chemistry sampling rooms to today's
standards with new digital instrumentation, chillers, and pumping stations
that were specified by me. Upgraded pressure gauges, temperature, flow
instrumentation, and chemistry panels throughout the plant for process
improvement. Issuing Material Requisitions for new equipment that will be
installed per my specifications and communicating with the vendors. During
construction, I was responsible for all installations to be correct by
working with craft Superintendents. All new drawings or design changes that
I performed were done by using AutoCAD/Raster. Prepare technical
presentations and proposals to client, System Engineer for the central lube
oil, raw cooling water, high pressure fire protection and fire suppression
CO2. (job ended 6/2012, Laid Off)
DER-KEL Chemical, Chattanooga, TN
June 2007 to January 2008
Field Service Chemical Engineer
Traveled the southeast for servicing industrial plants boilers (fluidized
bed & tube), cooling towers, condensers, closed loop systems, chillers and
waste water facilities. The daily duties included testing for conductivity,
PH, O2, SO3, and other chemical testing variations. I would process a
report for guidance to the operators or maintenance supervisor for adding
or deleting the chemistry mixtures. This report was to prevent the plants
equipment from being out of specifications and other contaminants that
could enter each system. My other assignments were sales, install various
water softeners, piping, and instrument controls for upgrading the plants
monitoring systems.
Westinghouse Electric Company, Chattanooga TN.
