Resume:

Travis Cole

Commissioning Engineer

Fruitport, MI

acd8oe@r.postjobfree.com - 616-***-****

Developed a new Backup and Restore procedure for our customers that could be done on line. I originated,

created, and set up these procedures. We then sold it to existing customers. It generated 3% additional revenue

per project for my employer. It reduced the average customer downtime by 2 hours a month, resulting in an

additional $270,000 in revenue for my employer in the first year alone.

Devised a new product called "Managed Care". This subscription based service entailed testing security

updates against our custom code. It subsequently was sold to over twenty different sites, generating enough

revenue to employ a person full time. It also protected our customers from dangerous security issues and

reduced their downtime significantly, resulting in our becoming the preferred vendor for many of these

customers.

Experience in Building Management software

For a green sand foundry, I developed a Pneumatic saw system using air valves and actuators. This saw

saved on energy costs, and was capable of operating in a hostile environment. I devised this system because

they could not use the PLCs in the hostile sand environment (prior, this same saw work had been outsourced)

and we saved three thousand dollars a batch by enabling them to run this cutting operation locally, for total

additional cost reductions of over $2.3 million annually.

Awarded the position of Technical Lead for a Wal-Mart installation. Due to delays caused by three hurricanes

the project was running late. I tested over 4000 pieces of I/O in two weeks (75% ahead of my company's 'normal'

install time for a project of this magnitude), preventing us from paying a penalty of hundreds of thousands of

dollars and ensuring our customer's satisfaction.

Replaced an old system provided to RNDC (Republic National Distributors Company) by a competing vendor.

Project completed in less than two weeks (84% improvement over my employer's 'normal' lead time for a

project of this magnitude). RNDC (our customer) was so pleased with this level of service that they awarded

us a contract for eleven more sites (resulting in over 1.37 million dollars in additional revenue).

During an installation at Standard Beverage, due to extraordinary customer requests, I worked a 127 hour

week. This allowed us to make the customer go live by their accelerated deadline, and prevent them from

losing thousands of dollars in business. They were so pleased, they had our systems installed at two more

sites resulting in an additional $1 million of revenue to my employer.

Installed, debugged and tested large warehouse systems controlling millions of boxes. Experience with VB.net,

C++ and Perl. Tested the software to be fully compliant, and performed customer sign offs. Worked with SQL,

ORACLE and other database structures.
