Projects:

Project Title : Mobile Bug

Domain : Embedded System Design

Duration : January 2012-March 2012

Role : Development

Description : The main aim of the project is to detect the presence of

the mobile phone if it is in signal mode. The circuit can detect both the incoming and

outgoing calls, SMS and video transmission even if the mobile phone is kept in the

silent mode. The moment the bug detects RF transmission signal from an activated

mobile phone, it starts sounding a beep alarm and the LED blinks. The alarm

continues until the signal transmission ceases the transmission frequency of mobile

phones ranges from 0.9 to 3GHz. So a circuit detecting gigahertz signals is required

for a mobile bug. It can be used to prevent use of mobile phones in examination halls,

confidential rooms, etc. Detection range is about 5 to 8 meters (approximately).

Project Title : Invisible Image Watermarking Using DWT Compression -

Decompression Technique

Domain : VLSI

Duration : January 2013-April 2013

Role : Development

Description : The main aim of the project is to hide the text in

the watermarked image without an y losses. Watermarking is very similar to

steganograph y in a number of respects. Both seek to embed information inside a cover

message with little to no degradation of the cover-object. Watermarking however adds

the additional requirement of robustness. An ideal watermarking s ystem however

would embed an amount of information that could not be removed or altered without

making the cover object entirel y unusable. Here we are using LSB algorithm to hide

the text or key in the cover image. It would b e implemented to the FPGA board. After

hiding the text or key, the Watermarked image should indistinguishable from the

original even on the highest Quality Equipment. Finally, we can retrieve the text or

key from the watermarked image in the communication window.
