Duties: Fabricate, repair, weld, fit-up, and layout.
Repair, modify, fabricate and weld on heavy equipment.
Fabricate blades for heavy equipment. Repair work on large
18 wheeler trailers. Build up on shafts (industrial).
Read blue prints.
Equipment Used: Four and 7" grinders. Hand torch, cut-a-
line torch, industrial drill press, industrial band saw,
fork-lift, stick arc welding, hard surfacing (carbon
steels, nickel, stainless steel, and cast iron). Mig
Welding: carbon steels using flux-cone, hard wire and hard
surfacing. Tig welding: carbon steels, aluminum,
inconell, use iron worker. Press: straighten out various
parts that are bent. Carbon Arc Gouger (gouge out welds).
Man-Lift and Sky Track fork-lift. Basic plumbing for
commercial air compressor and air lines. Remove, rebuild
and reinstall air cannons for silos. Use torpedo level, 4'
level, 2' level, string level, pipe templates, make
patterns for fabrication, plasma torch.
