WORK EXPERIENCE

Assistant Teacher

Our Future Learning Center - Marlborough, MA - February 2014 to Present

Responsibilities

I supervise the children in the classroom, I clean the classroom after snack, lunch, and activities. I would play

with the children with learning activities, as well as art and following the curriculum. I would help expand the

children's knowledge and help them develop. When the directors would come in for a tour we would show

them around the classroom and put their worries to ease.

Accomplishments

I have become very close with many different children. I would like to say that I have affected many children

while I've only been here for a few months I'm only leaving because i'm moving down to Virginia. The directors

have personally told me that they will be upset when I leave, which impacts the school because there is a lot

of classrooms and for me to be singled out I think means something.

Skills Used

I demonstrate leadership, I teach the children right from wrong and am shaping their morals. Their safety is

depended on me and the lead teacher in the classroom. I also help lead the children in the right direction

and let them explore in a safe manner. They are also big on customer service so I would begin to make a

relationship with not just the children but the parents as well.

Receptionist

Vector Marketing - Bellingham, MA - October 2013 to March 2014

Responsibilities

I made outgoing calls as well as taking incoming calls. I scheduled people for interviews and give them a job

description of the position. I would greet applicants when they come in for interviews and have them take a

seat and fill out the application. I am left alone in the office every day and handle my work just as well as

when my boss is there.

Accomplishments

The receptionist position is the soul of the office. Without me scheduling applicants there would be no one

coming to interviews which means no one would be starting. If no one started then no money would be made

in the office so no income would be in the office. My manager has told me multiple times that besides for him

I am the most important person in the office.

Skills Used

I demonstrate people skills. My job was to constantly be talking to people and getting to know them better and

for them to trust me enough to come in for an interview. I answer peoples questions properly and tell them

about the job. I also greet people in person and instruct them what to do. I am constantly talking to people

and being with people.

Supervisor

K-mart - Milford, MA - March 2013 to March 2014

Responsibilities

I was responsible for counting all the money and putting it in all of the registers, being in charge of the cashiers

as well as helping them with any problems they may have, make out going calls and taking incoming calls. I

also deal with unhappy/ happy customers, place/ pickup online orders. As well as trying to make sure everyone

is enjoying work.

Accomplishments

I was first working as a cashier and then they promoted to me Supervisor. Since ive been working at K-mart

we have gone through one store manager, multiple supervisors, and multiple cashiers. I teach everyone all

of my knowledge i have learned there and have helped my store manager multiple times on things he had

no idea about.

Skills Used

I demonstrated leadership. Without me the cashiers would have no clue what to do. I would help them with

problems with the registers, any problems they may have at work or outside of work. Without my leadership

skills the store would not be able to run as smoothly as it does when I am there, I also believe that my cashiers

would succeed as much as they do. I have training many people to do my job as well as cashier positions and

each time I have taught them more and more, also i have given them the ability to grow and make mistakes.

Teacher's Aide

Blackstone Valley Childrens Place - Whitinsville, MA - September 2012 to April 2013

Responsibilities

I would play with the children, do learning activites, help with activities. Bring them to classes, help prepare

lunch, read to the children, help them fall asleep during nap time and clean the class room often. As well as

break down the class room at the end of the day.

Accomplishments

I think I impacted the children to want to learn and have fun. To express themselves and not be afraid to show

who they are.

Skills Used

I demonstrated team skills, I would need to build a relationship with the other teachers in order to be the best

teachers we could be for the children. We would need to balance the duties in the classroom as well as make

curriculum and do activities.
