Medical Technician

OBJECTIVE: To obtain a position as a diagnostic medical sonographer in a

hospital environment or outpatient setting serving a diverse patient

population.

EDUCATION:

* Associate of Applied Science Degree in Diagnostic Medical

Sonography at Athens Technical College, Athens. GA. (May 2012)

* ATC's DMS program is CAAHEP accredited

* Honor Graduate / Member of Phi Theta Kappa

* RDMS certified in both Abdomen and OB/GYN (specialty areas).

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Capable of performing clinical assessments and quality diagnostic

sonographic examinations in abdominal, gynecologic, obstetrical,

fetal, small parts, breast, and experienced in invasive and biopsy

procedures.

* Experienced working with various ultrasound systems including Toshiba,

Phillips, Acuson, Medison, and GE.

* Aware of and comfortable with different scanning protocols.

* Competent in recognizing and differentiating normal from abnormal

anatomy on sonographic images.

* Familiar with utilizing department computers and different PACS

servers.

* Strong ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results,

patient medical records and history, and modify sonographic

examinations as necessary.

* Exceptional ability to evaluate and communicate diagnostic information

to the radiologist/ physician.

* Team player, flexible

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

* Successfully completed 1410 clinical experience education hours in

addition to 500 classroom lab hours

* Actively participated in the Athens Tech Student Advisory Council

* Attended monthly High Risk Obstetric conferences.

* Has currently worked in a hospital environment for over one year.
