Ever since I was a child I have been teaching children, at least that is what I felt my dolls were.
That fantasy as a child has now became my reality in life. Organizing and making sure thing were
in proper order for each family to grow to their greatest expectation. Each time I have surround
myself with children I am more excited now than I was then. I believe this because now it’s more
now a reality than a dream or imagination. I now have the chance to teach, but learn as well what
their interest are and what they enjoy doing. In today world children make a great difference and
ignored in many ways and they have a right to be heard as well.
It is with great expectations seeing this posting for Teacher and Teacher Assistant position which
caught my attention immediately. I began to visualize the positive impact I could create in these
children’s lives, as well as to the establishment of the school itself. I will bring creativity and
enthusiasm to help develop and build the program to help keep its highest standards for the
children now and in the years to come.
I have dedicated over 13years in teaching and educating myself acquiring a degree in Early
Childhood Education along with an Administrative of Award to direct and facilitate a childcare in
my home, and in the outside communities. I have carried my internship in various child care
centers working with children from infancy to 12 years of age. I have also extended my teaching to
the children in the nearby churches and implementing summer program and after school programs.
My tool in education has no boundaries in how I utilize them. This is something I learned as I
travel to Europe and experience the Reggio Emilio Program in Italy. There are no limits and
boundaries in learning and every moment of a child’s life is a learning stage, but his only if you can
recognize the moment.
