EXPERIENCE

Rhode Island Army National Guard

Military Police Officer December 2006- Present

Duties include law and order, report writing, providing security escorts, traffic stops, emergency

vehicle training and detainee operations.

Afghanistan August 2012- August 2013

Duties included, base camp force protection; patrolled and secured the perimeter for upwards to

16 hours, manning towers, escorting local nationals on camp and entry control points. I

supervised and trained personnel daily and reported accountability. Daily searches of local

nationals and their vehicles for contraband, and maintaining badge logs (temporary camp badges

and Department of Defense badges). I maintained key accountability for sensitive storage

lockers. I maintained daily the following pieces of equipment; Motorola radios, multiple

government issued vehicles, MBITR radios, free spinning cameras, 9mm Beretta, M-4 carbine

(5.56), M240B machine gun.

Guantanamo Bay, Cuba September 2009-October 2010

Duties included giving tours to VIPs, specializing and responding to the following; camp force

protection, bomb threats, riots, forced cell extractions, detainee operations, guard towers, access

control points and badge checking. I was a temporary supervisor for months while my supervisor

was on emergency leave and trained several subordinates. I kept accountability for hundreds of

rounds of lethal and non-lethal ammunition, weapons and equipment.

Recruiting and Retention Assistant 2007/2009

Duties included maintaining government issued cell phone and car with a gas card. Would set up

table displays and speak to people about the military. Supervised other assistants and trained

them on several tasks. Cold calling and handed out business cards daily. Was responsible for

keeping accountability of supply items and reported them to my supervisor to order.

JC Penny

Loss Prevention Specialist- Warwick, RI September 2013-Januray 2014

• Duties included monitoring CCTV cameras, and conducting sales floor surveillance, in

search for potential shoplifters and internal threats to store loss. Monitored potential

shoplifters select merchandise, conceal the merchandise, conducted fitting room checks

when needed, maintained constant surveillance of suspect and once the subject passed all

active registers and exited the store, myself and fellow Loss Prevention associates would

apprehend the subject. Also assisted the Loss Prevention Leader conducts surveillance

and assisted in the apprehension of employees who embezzled money from the store

registers and shoplifted.

• During my time as Loss Prevention at JC Penny, I assisted in the apprehension of 33

suspects and prevented the theft of merchandise totaling approximately, $8000.

Securitas Security

CVS Distribution Center- Woonsocket, RI January 2014- April 2014

Blue Cross Blue Shield Rhode Island- Providence, RI May 2012- July2012

• Duties included exterior and interior patrols for upwards to 16 hours a day, greeting

guests and employees in the morning and the evening, printing and issuing badges,

monitoring cameras throughout building, keeping inventory logs, and maintaining a

detailed Daily Activity Report. Patrols of the entire building were conducted every hour

when the building was closed.

• Programs and equipment I am familiarized with are Motorola Radios, CCTV’s, C-CURE

system, PASSPORT badge making system, Microsoft Outlook, and I also managed, and

kept accountability of every key in the building.
