Test Technician- as a Test Technician I was responsible for bring up, calibration, alignment, testing and
packaging of the IQ200 Elite, Select and Sprint urinalysis machines. These tests included voltage checks,
throughput tests, small particle count check tests, linearity/precision tests, door interlock safety tests, air
pressure calibrations, pipette calibration, barcode reader calibration, and SPA and STM calibration.
Installation of PCB into the machines, verify software and firmware updates that were installed. I
performed the final QA inspection of machines for leakage, scratches, blemishes, and secureness of
components. I entered data and verified paperwork for accuracy and completeness and proper placement
of labels on the machines.

Field Service Technician- as a Field Service Technician I was responsible for the installation, upgrades
and maintenance of US Post office sorting machines AFCS 200. These upgrades included but were not
limited to: conveyors, belt driven mail handlers, photo gate sensors, vibration sensors, barcode scanning
equipment, barcode printers, OCR (optical character recognition) equipment, safety sensors, proximity
sensors, PLC’s (programmable logic controllers), computer installations, uploading software to the
computers and programming parameters. As part of the electrical tasks I performed the installations and
connection of main power distribution panels, electrical 3 phase motors, electrical rough in, wiring,
cabling, grounding systems, and communications and data systems. The mechanical work included
installation, start-up, operation and maintenance of: pneumatic equipment, hydraulic systems, HVAC, 3
phase electrical motors, gear and belt driven conveyors. The administrative work can be described as
follows: inventory control, parts requisition, ordering, receiving and shipping.

Electronics Assembler- as an Electronics Assembler I built sub-assemblies for various actuators and
relays. I used a number of spot welding machines to spot weld components to sub-assemblies. I also did
final assembly and adjustment of various relays. Performed final, cycle and miss testing of relays. I also
verified drawings and specifications for assembly of relays. I also performed final packaging of EV200
relays and lead free soldering of switches and relays.

Mail Processing Clerk- as a Mail Processing Clerk I sorted incoming and outgoing mail by hand or
automated machines. I cancelled non-machineable letters and parcels by hand at the pounding table. I
separated mail by hand for SCF and Primary Flats and Letters and Metered Mail. Other tasks included
breakout mail from the dock to distribute to the various machines and operations. I also trained as a 204B
supervisor and had 10-15 subordinates under my supervision to continue the flow of mail to its proper
operations. I was the primary person trained for the new PARS waste mail operation on Tour 1 and I also
processed the PARS waste mail and 13 reasons separations mail on Tour 3.

Assembler- as an Assembler I assembled light fixtures and attached circuit boards to light housings. I
also checked lights for proper functioning and also assembled boxes to package the commercial and
business lights.

Inspector- as an Inspector I audited final paperwork to confirm dates and signatures for final release of
product. I packaged heart valves and included instruction usage. I inputted labor hours for 13 inspectors
in the Sperry system and inputted and tracked the defect codes for heart valves into the database. I
ordered all of the office supplies and did the filing and copying. I visually inspected sterile components
for any type of contamination and tested the heart valves for rips and tears with the electronic vacuum
leak test. I assisted the MIS department as technical support technician with their hardware and software
installations, memory upgrades, system configurations and back-up of systems.

Aviation Maintenance Administrationman Clerk Petty Officer Second Class- As an AZ2 I maintained
the aircraft and engine logbooks for scheduled inspections. I updated the technical manuals for the
squadron library, issued inspections for nine aircraft. I maintained the ADB’s (aircraft discrepancy book)
for aircraft readiness status. I typed office memos and personnel evaluations for Maintenance Admin. I
filed incoming and outgoing messages by security classifications. I was also assigned as mailroom clerk
to sort and distribute mail. I also handled shipping, receiving and inventory. I was also assigned duties as
Division Career Counselor and Assistant Recycling Petty Officer for the Maintenance Control
Department. I also performed Officer of the Day and Barracks Fire Messenger Security watches.
AWARDS
I received five Commanding Officer and Officer in Charge Letters of Appreciation, two Officer in Charge
Letters of Commendations and numerous medals and ribbons. I received two Certificates of Achievement
for Honors in maintaining a GPA of 3.58 for 6th quarter and 3.66 for 7th quarter while attending ITT
Technical Institute.
