ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Manager onsite operations to Ravago Americas. Instrumental in the development of a program responsible for
the significant reduction of rejected product car rebilling charges. Responsible for the production and analysis of
demurrage reports significantly reducing transit turn around times resulting in a 15% demurrage charge savings.
As a member of a team created to design the Quality Transportation Fleet Services Program was involved in all
aspects of program start up to include identification of program objectives, development of external contacts
necessary to meet these objectives, and coordination with software developers to ensure all required data was
displayed in a user friendly package. Program now has in excess of 20 customers managing over 30,000 railcars.
As a fleet services coordinator assumed sole responsibility for Unimin's railcar fleet which numbered in excess
of 6,000 railcars. Through diligent attention to detail was able to organize their various fleet lease agreements into
a concise easily accessible database. By keen identification and continuous monitoring of those cars requiring
preventive maintenance was able to move these cars to shops on their empty return transits thus keeping rail
transportation costs down and minimizing the impact of these trips on railcar availability.
Manager onsite operations to Huntsman Chemical. Spearheaded a program instituted to identify and resolve
critical rail delivery service issues such as interchange bottlenecks and shortline railroad schedule issues which
increased railcar utilization allowing for a 10% reduction in the assigned railcar fleet.
Manager onsite operations to American Environmental Products. Established and managed a three truck delivery
operation. After inheriting a four truck operation was able by the development and institution of an innovative
daily delivery schedule to reduce the assigned trucks from four to three resulting in significant manpower and
leased equipment savings. Cut trailer inventory by 10% through the proactive monitoring of trailer usage and
location.
As an Army Transportation Corps Captain participated in the development and operational plans for a
transportation unit consisting of various boat companies and detachments. Additionally was the lead officer
responsible for over 250 foreign military students assigned for training at Ft Eustis, VA assignment included the
planning and administration of an annual activities budget of $100,000.
As an Army Transportation Corps Lieutenant managed 40 service members in the safe and timely movement of
petroleum and heavy equipment throughout Western Europe. In the absence of the company commander
assumed temporary command of a 200 member transportation company. As acting commander was
responsible for the health and welfare of all assigned personnel and the operational commitments and
maintenance of 24 assigned heavy equipment transport units.
