I am applying for the position of sterile service technician, I have 11 years experience in this

role, and I'm fully trained in all areas of decontamination.I am part of a team of technicians

who throughout the day process all instrumentation used in lots of various operations.I am at

the moment working as a bank technician with the yorkshire clinic.

I consider myself to be hard working and have lots to give the job, what I do is very interesting

and important and not alot of people can say they enjoy what they do but I do, I am if I do say

so good at my job and enjoy it,

Sterile Service Technician

The main duties of my roll are to process all different types of kit used throughout the day in the

cssd department of the yorkshire clinic, the hospital is private although Nhs patients do have

procedures at the clinic.

A brief description of my day would be, Wash Area : kit is checked in against a sheet loaded in

to a wash cycle, when finished it would be taken out in the sterile room, unloaded again,

checked this time for cleanliness and making sure all instruments are safe and in working order,

finally kit is then packed in accordance with theatre requirements using a data logging system.

Autoclaves: Perform autoclave duties when all above is complete and all equipment returned to

theatres ensuring high standards at all times and throughout the whole processs.

Sterile Service Technician

Here in the Nhs is were I started my training to become a Sterile Service Technician,

Trained to a high standard in all decontamination, everything I do today at the Yorksire Clinic

was learned here, the wash area, checking in all kit, clean room, rechecked against a

computerised check sheet then released for autoclaving, autoclaves, autoclaved at 134

unloaded left to cool and released to theatre.
