Manage Class 1 railroad from the Network Operations Center. Participate in strategic planning, including expense

forecasting and cash management/investment strategies.

Manages the resources necessary to plan, coordinate, and deliver solutions to meet project requirements and

manages and plans operating and capital budgets in accordance with overall operations.

Articulates and tracks project milestones, deliverables and risks as well as communicating progress, issues and

Engineering, Signaling, Crew Management and serves as a corporate liaison for foreign line carriers such as

BNSF, UPRR, NS & Amtrak.

Investigates accidents and incidents such as major mainline derailments involving hazardous materials and/or

fatalities.

Plan in advance for smooth and effective movement of priority trains, trains containing hazardous material or

restricted shipments, and meets/passes to avoid unnecessary delays.

Familiar with Federal Hours of Service Laws, DOT rest agreements Union agreements, contract negotiations

and interpretations.
