I have been working with KBR a worldwide Engineering and Construction
company since 1996; before my current position as the Operations General
manager in Angola for KBR for the oil & gas business sector, I have worked
in different managerial positions for the A&F, IT, Project Controls, HR,
RES, HSE, QA areas for engineering and construction organizations where I
have got an accumulated experience managing and with strong knowledge of
the different functional areas of an organization.
Before KBR, in Bufete Industrial also worked in project controls,
coordinating a multinational consortium for the AHMSA's Hot Strip Mill
revamp project. I have also had previous experience in the design and
technology of hydraulic turbines as well as field experience in the oil &
gas industry.
Within all my different work assignments, I have an accumulated experience
and knowledge for the management of multinational companies in Mexico and
overseas in several countries. I have also an accumulated experience in the
setup of completely new offices in several countries, with all corporate
requirements including the corporate culture, policies & procedures, etc.
I am a highly motivated leader, with experience leading and couching work-
groups from different countries & cultures. I am always oriented to conduct
business with initiative, integrity, conflict management, results
orientation, customer focus, and strategic planning

Actual Position:
Operations General Manager at KBR Angola Operations
In April 2012 I was appointed as the Operations General Manager for the
Angola operations of KBR and had under my responsibilities to grow the
office and develop the first engineering project for the design of a
floating production system "FPSO".
Major Accomplishment:
+ Growing the Angola operations from 11 employees in April 2012 to 34
operating employees by the end of 2012. This happened in a very competitive
market for the local Angolan content.
+ From August 2012 to April 2013 the office developed its first project for
the design of a plant in a FPSO, the plant was designed using state of the
art engineering technologies, it was required to prepare all the Angolan
engineers and designers in the design tools and work process of the
company.
+ Implemented all internal controls that are necessary in a very complex
country with high indexes of corruption. In August 2012 the operation was
audited getting a status of "Effective", on this audit all areas of
internal control were tested under the "FCPA" (Foreign Corruption Practices
Act).
MEC A&F Manager - KBR Monterrey
By mid-2001 was appointed to be the Shared Services manager of KBR
Monterrey, under my responsibilities had the leadership and management of
all the support areas of the company: Accounting, Information Technology,
Project Controls, Real Estate services, QHSA and HR. By 2003 became the A&F
manager of the office. In between my activities at KBR Monterrey, I was
also in charge for the creation and coordination of the Innovation group
from 2003 to 2005.
Major Accomplishment:
+ In 2011 and 2012 was assigned to travel to Saudi Arabia and work on the
startup of a new KBR operation in Al-Khobar Saudi-Arabia, for this startup
integrated the IT, Project Controls and the A&F areas.
+ In 2009 Implemented additional Internal Controls in KBR Monterrey to be
in compliance with the "FCPA" (Foreign Corruption Practices Act)
+ Active participation in the definition and global rolling out stages for
the KBR Financial System in SAP during 2005 and 2006.
+ In 2004 Included HSE as an area for review and improvement in the KBR
Monterrey projects and in the annual management reviews.
+ In 2004 played a key role in the IT and IM areas for all projects in KBR
Monterrey; and worked actively in all issues for the first offshore PDMS
project of KBR Monterrey.
+ 2004 & 2005 Implemented the PDMS Knowledge base, promoting the PDMS best
practices and knowledge collection with people involved in the BP B18
project.
+ 2003 Under my leadership KBR Monterrey got its QA system upgraded from
ISO 9000:94 to ISO 9000:2000
+ 2002 on my recent assignment as the Shared Services manager, optimized
the billing process with the elimination of a pre-existing unbilled work
problem
+ Implemented a high level of automation and Internal Controls in all the
administrative and support areas of KBR Monterrey, for: Billings, Treasury
and project controls functions. In this position, was also involved in the
implementation of the Risk Control Tracking System of KBR for compliance
with the Sarbanes Oxley act.
+ Active participation during the startup of the Monterrey Engineering
Center, working in several roles and functions of coordination, design,
selection and implementation of the equipment, logistics, and several
administrative activities. The center started operations in January 1997,
after the conclusion of the project in a very tiny schedule.

Key responsibilities:
IT manager and member of the MEC Management Team, Monterrey Engineering
Center
In this position reported to the General Director, with key roles for
decisions making with respect of all Information Technologies needed for
the project operations and administrative solutions. In this position also
participated actively as an adviser to the director for several legal and
financial issues that the company was sorting out during its growing. Also
worked actively for the continual improvement of the operation.
+ Key role as IT and Information Manager in all projects developed in MEC,
between the main projects supported in the IM roles were: ARISTECH, EXXON
SOP, QCHEM, and BP Block 18.
