NEURAL NETWORK BASED SURFACE IRREGULARITY ESTIMATION: Image

processing and neural network learning of surface irregularity can be used to develop variety

of smart applications like camera based road hump detection, terrain plainness estimation,

etc.. Challenge is pre-processing methods and selecting orthogonal database for training

neural network.

o FPGA IMPLIMENTATION OF ADAPTIVE FILTER FOR NOISE CANCELLATION: An

adaptive filter was implemented in FPGA-Spartan 3E that can be used for variety of

applications like-noise cancellation, echo cancellation, channel equalization, etc.

• B Tech – Projects

o DIGITAL SPEECH ENHANCER: Enhances speech spectrum (100HZ-4KHZ) and attenuates

unwanted frequency voices and higher harmonics. Algorithm can be upgraded to detect and

attenuate repeated noise (engine hums)

o TEXTUAL IMAGE ENHANCER: Enhances image of text data to word like clear and zoom-

able image. Take a photo using mobile and give to enhancer, you can make it look like a word

document.
