Muller Quaker Dairy- Batavia, New York / Chicago, Illinois 2013 -

Present

Muller Quaker Dairy, a joint venture between PepsiCo Inc. with the Theo

M ller Group to produce and sell yogurt and value-added dairy products in

the U.S. market.

Controller / Finance Director (2013 - Present)

After an instrumental role in the sale of IMMCO Diagnostics, was recruited

to the start-up. Reporting to the CFO of the joint venture as well as

Controllers of both parent companies, oversaw financials as company grew

from no market presence to over $150 million in less than twelve months.

. Instrumental role in developing an international supply chain,

managing a vendor in eastern Germany and importing yogurt with a 70

day shelf-life into the US for nationwide distribution.

. Managed financials of a $220 million capital expenditure project,

constructing a 500,000 square foot manufacturing facility from a

Greenfield in Batavia, NY.

. Financial reporting and guidance responsibilities to the board of

directors and senior leadership of each parent organization.

. Guided process system design and implementation, including fundamental

business and financial processes as well as SAP and WMS software.

IMMCO Diagnostics - Buffalo, New York 2009 - 2013

IMMCO Diagnostics develops and distributes autoimmune disease diagnostics

worldwide, and offers reference lab services to the US healthcare market.

Corporate Development Director (2011 - 2013)

Reporting directly to the CEO, develop and execute strategic growth plans,

and provide strategic and tactical counsel and direction to support key

business objectives. Identify, evaluate, and recommend potential

acquisition, strategic alliance, and joint venture partners, as well as

potential spin-off opportunities. Serve as key point of contact for several

of the company's largest customers in Europe, the Middle East, South

America, Asia, Australia, and North America. Also responsible for modeling,

economic analysis, and development of strategic organizational performance

metrics.

. Instrumental role in M&A due diligence and integration. Evaluated

several potential targets that have resulted in three diagnostic

laboratory acquisitions in the last two years.

. Introduced several new products into the market, working

collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure FDA approval.

. Guided a comprehensive costing exercise across 200+ SKUs and

subcomponents, to guide product rationalization and offering. Set

minimal order quantities and eliminated production of low margin

products.

. Instituted vendor qualification system and quality reviews to reduce

and level material spend, increasing profit margin from 56% to 61% of

sales.

. Increased accuracy and utilization of MRP system, improving business

analysis, reporting, and management decision making, and enabling the

introduction of rolling forecasts.

. Managed key capital expenditure projects including an electronic

document management system, medical billing software, production

automation, and facility improvements.

Operations Manager (2009 to 2011)

Hired by the incoming CEO to address operational issues on the production

floor, after having successfully established a distribution agreement

between IMMCO and Empire Genomics. Hired, managed, and evaluated

performance of a team of 5 supervisors and 55 employees across three

production shifts, materials planning, and logistics.

. Redesigned production processes to achieve operational efficiencies by

reducing inventory levels and labor/materials spend, while improving

response to customer demand.

. Introduced new inventory kanban methodology and other Lean

philosophies across the organization, from production to customer

service, finance, and sales & marketing.

. Established new employee selection criteria and compensation strategy;

coached and mentored line employees into supervisory roles.

Empire Genomics LLC - Buffalo, New York 2008 - 2009

Empire Genomics is a molecular diagnostics company that develops and offers

a comprehensive menu of assay services for use in diagnosing and guiding

precise therapeutic treatments for patients.

Business Development Associate

Worked closely with founder and CEO on a variety of initiatives including

strategic planning, market research, and in-depth financial modeling and

analysis. Managed a marketing and customer service staff of three to meet

customer needs, design marketing pieces, and increase brand awareness in

the target market.
