PROJECTS
As a software developer, I worked on building a web application for
Acxiom. The product has a three-layer architecture. The first layer is
an Internet facing UI using Java, HTML with AJAX and JQuery. The
second layer is a suite of RESTful web services running in Apache
Tomcat container. The third layer is a MySQL database. I worked on
creating forms, form validations on both client and server side using
Spring MVC framework and interaction with database using Hibernate API.
The team used various tools for product release cycle like Maven,
Jenkins for build process, Git and Subversion for code repository.
Worked under very aggressive deadlines using Agile methodology for
development.
Developed custom solutions using Acxiom's proprietary tools for data
processing to meet clients' requirement. Built Oracle datamart by
creating various flows using SQL scripts and PL/SQL procedures. Worked
on integrating the datamart with Campaign Management tools like Unica
and Alterian. Worked on after hour call support to support the product.
EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS
Master Project: Developed a Distributed System Application using Java
to create Geocoding, Scheduling and Mapping system. This project
calculates the geocodes for addresses using Yahoo Geocoder API,
calculates the shortest path using Greedy Algorithm and creates maps to
display those addresses using Google maps' JavaScript API. Database
developed for this project was maintained in Oracle 9i and used the
features of RDBMS and ORDBMS to store the information of the customers
and trips. Scope of this project included the system requirement study,
system design, coding and testing.
C# .Net Project: In this project, I created a website for a fictitious
online bookstore. This website provides login and membership features.
It also allows user to browse the details of various books available,
search through the database, and enter items into the cart as well as
checkout. Order details can also be viewed. Database for this project
is maintained in Oracle 9i.
Java website Project: As an Independent-Study Course, created a java
website for a fictitious company named 'Legaspi Oil Company'. The
website allows customer to fill out the company survey and view
employee information through browser. Dynamic web pages are generated
using Java Server Pages (JSP) and Java Servlet using the Blazix server.
Project in Java RMI: This project was a simulation of event ticket
booking system and used client server model. Project implemented using
Java RMI (client - server communication), Java Swing (Graphical user
interface for client) and database was maintained in Oracle 9i
