ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Proven Success in Managing Healthcare Laundry Facilities Proven success with four years experience
in the Healthcare Industry. Moved into a facility in Winchester TN that had less than desirable customer
service, poor management, and a very negative P&L. I was able to gain customer respect, trust, and
appreciation, turn management around to be a very fine tuned team, and bring the P&L from negative
back in the black again. Within Winchester, I was able to double the EBITA% goals in just a few short
months. Overtime was at a all time high at 26% and stain levels were at 9%. I was able to bring the
overtime down to a respectable 2% and manage a program that plummeted the stain level to 2.5%
Spearheaded Pathway’s quality initiative that improved efficiency and saved money . Current system
of sharing information encompassed continuous photocopying and distribution of updated documents to
all levels of the organization. Designed an HTML based document filing system for ISO documents. New
system updated documents to ensure inclusion of proper revisions and controlled access rights on Local
Area Network. Reduced time to access documents and eliminated need for 7,000 copies, annually .
Coordinated and implemented ERP system . Took the role as ‘beta tester’, managed resources within
operations to ensure a smooth transition from an archaic ERP system to a new TROPOS system. Ensured
that Operations received the appropriate training in this ERP and helped resolve problem areas
expeditiously.
Improved departmental efficiencies and saved Pathway $114K . Company lacked a system to
effectively categorize and distribute work orders to staff, causing delays in repairs and leaving little time
for preventive maintenance work. Developed a relational database to house all work orders, account for
maintenance personnel hours, and allocate time and supplies to appropriate departments. Designed asset
life cycle program that improved preventive maintenance, saving $114K in budgeted repairs.
Safety, Health, and Environmental Improvements. Introduced and implemented the MOC process,
organized and ran monthly safety training for all staff, began the Consolidated Spill Prevention And
Emergency Response Plan (CSPER) for entire facility. Implemented Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
process, moved to gain compliance with new corporate minimum standards.
