Currently serving as Technical Director of the worlds largest railroad yard.Overseeing the inspections and
repairs of Union Pacific locomotives fleets 5544-7344.Working with union machinists and electricians to
ensure the locomotives are serviced and repaired to meet cycle and takt times.Covering 1 st and 2nd
shifts.Daily responsibilities include but not limited to, conducting daily safety meetings covering critical,
reportable, and non reportable safety incidents.Spill prevention meetings and safety dialogues, turning in
items of concern to Solutions center(a UP website to handle concerns).Member of the Critical 5 safety
team to oversee safety issues related to union machinists and electricians. Also provide support for the
TSC(total safety culture) which is the safety process of Union Pacific. Major duties require 2 daily
meetings with managers and Union Pacific foremen to make sure locomotives are moving to takt time,
also 2 meetings daily with the craft to discuss and establish what needs to be done to outshop the
locomotive for release.Conduct meetings daily with the materials team to ensure parts are ordered and
delivered for the locomotives.Reviewing all defects and workscopes associated with every locomotive

Participated in the startup of new remanufacturing facility for AC and DC Electric Motors for
Locomotives. Led the process of in teardown and rebuilding of combos. Team Leader for Build and Break for 4
consecutive terms, Helped with and partly designed the wag wash table still in use today. Performed a how to video for
Kansas City on how to break combos and also designed the chain system that is in place at the break combo area for
separating gearcases during combo break.
Team Leader over WAG line and Break for teams up to 15 employees.Responsible for
updating information and resolving issues to make sure production targets were achieved by the team.
Worked with engineers and operations supervisors to create layout of new shop. Helped layout and design the shop
flow to its now desired efficiency. Worked with IT Team to
help develop new Manufacturing Execution System using iPads. Received Lean Certification. Trained by
technical group to perform Level 1 inspection and reporting.
Accomplishment:
• Designed setup to remove gear cases during teardown process without damage.
• Worked with Safety team to implement ergonomic improvement which reduced operator fatigue.
• Identified opportunity to salvage gear cases that were normally scrapped. Worked with engineer to
develop process to save parts. Helped with the beginning process of lifting traction motors safely to avoid any
incidents regarding safety.
