EXPERIENCE
Dewberry Consultants June 2007 - Present
Interstate 66 Widening (Design-Build Contract)
Project Manager for the Interstate 66 Widening in Haymarket, VA. The Design-Build Project currently consists of
the widening of I-66 for 2.6 miles from a four (4) lane to an eight (8) lane facility, the realignment of impacted
ramps, and the reconstruction of two over passing roadways. Duties consist of managing the design efforts such
as horizontal and vertical geometry, roadway drainage design, cross sections superelevation, general plan
preparation etc. and coordinating with the other various design groups and the contractor while reporting to the
Design Manager to provide a complete plan package.
Route 28 Corridor Improvements (Design-Build Contract)
Project Engineer for various projects along the Route 28 Corridor in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties in Virginia.
Projects included the design of the widening of Route 28, an interchange design as well as the realignment and
construction of adjacent roadways. Duties consisted of vertical geometry, cross sections, superelevation,
drainage design, general plan preparation, and utility relocation design of an impacted water and sewer facility.
Coordination meeting were held on a frequent basis to discuss the design and the design progress with the
contractor.
Route 50 Widening (Design-Build Contract)
Project Engineer for the Route 50 Widening Design-Build Contract in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties in
Virginia. Project consisted of the reconstructing of Route 50 for 3.7 miles from a four (4) to six (6) lane roadway.
Design efforts consisted of horizontal and vertical geometry, roadway drainage design, cross sections,
superelevation, and general plan preparation, etc as well as continued coordination with the contractor and
various design groups. Following design completion, coordination activities have continued during the
construction operations.
