I wish to work for a company that prides itself on delivering quality

service. Learning new skills has always been a satisfying aspect of my

work experience and I wish to continue growing through interacting with co-

workers and the challenges that come with providing good customer service.

OBJECTIVE:

SUMMARY:

My schedule affords me the flexibility to work a full-time or part-time

schedule and I am available to work any hours, any day. My personality and

work experience has been strongly focused on financial recordkeeping and

accuracy. I am computer literate with a propensity for detail.

EXPERIENCE

Push & Pull Auto Body & Frame, Inc. - Allentown, PA

Administrative Assistant

I assisted my husband in running a busy, fast-paced automotive collision

center. I handled all the clerical duties; including setting up a

computerized bookkeeping program and estimating programs. This involved

researching and selecting hardware with necessary requirements and software

that would process our bookkeeping needs and computerized collision

estimating programs. At that time my accountant advised against

computerizing our bookkeeping system but I persisted against his resistance

and was advised to use the Quicken system. I was able to adapt this

program to fit the needs of our business and satisfy our accountant's

requirements for our financials. (In the past year I had the opportunity to

help set up Quickbooks program for the business's new owner). I was the

person responsible for troubleshooting our IT issues; determine if the

problem was in the hardware, software, if I could fix them problem and who,

if I needed to contact to resolve the issue. I was able to train & develop

a very efficient and eager office team. When we put an addition onto the

shop in 1997, I worked closely with the township fire Marshall to resolve

safety concerns about the amount of hazardous material we stored on

premises and even needed to learn the BOCA code in regards to questions

about a ventilation system the zoning officer believed that we needed. The

situation resolved in our favor after dispute. I contacted the University

of Indiana, PA which provided a voluntary OSHA inspection and was given a

satisfactory rating. This job required me to where many hats in a day or

at one time. I found it challenging and rewarding to be able to be in this

unique position to work at skills I brought to the job and to develop many

more because of the demands put on a small business owner.

Supervising Teller

I performed the typical teller duties while supervising a staff of 12

tellers. I handed out cash orders to the tellers and business customers.

I maintained the cash vault and ordered or shipped cash as needed on a

weekly basis. When customer disputes arose, I resolved them to the best of

my ability at my level of responsibility. I authorized check cashing

decisions. At times I assisted training new tellers in a back office

setting and also worked with them one-on-one until they developed enough

experience to work on their own. When the bank implemented computerized

teller terminals in 1987, I helped with training the tellers to process the

customer transactions. This was a new proprietary software program and had

gaps that needed to be overrode to put the necessary info into the system.

I became the "go-to teller", bank wide, who fully understood what needed to

be done to satisfy the front-line needs to match the back-office demands.

Since the branch I worked at was considered the Main Office of our

community bank, I was called on to answer questions or help resolve

disputes at other branches. I was picked as one of the top 20 teller

performers for the six years that the award was given while I was employed

at the bank.

FNB/Meridian Bank - Allentown, PA

Alpo - Allentown, PA

Quality Control Technician

I was QC tech in the canned dog food plant. Part of my responsibilities

were checking the quality of the incoming product for freshness, checking

the product on line before it went into processing; i.e. grinding of

chicken heads and feet for proper size of the beaks and toe nails, checking

product temperatures at the tables, examining the operation of the

Hydroflex for proper temperatures to get the proper sanitary cooking,

stopping the line and pulling cans to take back to the lab and do a tear

down to check for integrity of the seal by taking measurements with a

micrometer, and holding completed product in a heat controlled setting for

several weeks to maintain the safety of the product based on size of can

for swelling or blow-up or the smell of product when opened.

I attended a seminar at Penn State for certification of human food

processing in a caning plant process. Out of 70 attendees, most were

graduate students from Penn State or Advanced graduates from other human

food consumption plants. I placed 7th in overall ranking.
