story 54,000 SF LEED GOLD. Responsible for energy efficiency benchmarking, all building material selection for LEED
credits; and Construction Administration.
CHPS Administration: Columbia Neighborhood Center – 7500SF Major Modernization Project. Responsible for
overseeing the engineering team and General Contractor to ensure accurate development and timely submission of
documents as required for CHPS accreditation.
New Aedis Office Building: Targeting LEED PLATINUM. LEED Administrator and Green Design Advisor. Responsible
for all material selection including building insulation, roof, paint, carpet, windows etc. Additional tasks include optimizi ng
daylight harvesting to reduce electric lighting withou t increasing HVAC cooling loads, energy star benchmarking and
HVAC system selection.

Daystar Solar Technologies Office and Manufacturing space: Responsible for managing design team from conceptual
phase to end of construction to complete a fast paced 100,000 SF interior remodel. Challenges included overseeing drawing
production of a 6 person team, schedule and budget.
Santa Clara University Laboratory Remodels: Directed a multi-disciplinary team from start to finish. Contested the City’s
Building Department ruling for 2 exits from each lab and won a B occupancy listing for ALL labs on campus, thereby requiring
only 1 exit.
Multiple Stanford University Remodel projects: Designed projects and directed multi-disciplinary teams through various
project phases. Facilitated discussion between City of Santa Clara building department and County b uilding department to
win a B occupancy ruling for Stanford University and increased usable laboratory space.
Lockheed Martin Space Systems: Completed numerous interior remodel projects in strict adherence to LMSS standards.
DEVCON CONSTRUCTION MILPITAS, CA

Key Projects:
Gregory Ranch (Strip Mall): Designed and developed permit drawings for a 50,000SF mall in Brentwood. W orked closely
with Construction team, Client and Brentwood Design Review Board to achieve optimum balance between design, cost and
schedule.
Paragon (192 unit) Apartments Complex: Played a multi-faceted role in the project, balancing aesthetics, structural /
building code requirements and tight schedule for this Fast-Track Project. Responsibilities included:
Designed the exterior elevations to meet structural requirements and façade aesthetics.
Worked with the Prefabricated Roof Sub-contractor to develop roof layout, satisfying aesthetic, roof drainage and
building code requirements.
Acted as main liaison between Landscape Architect and Civil Engineer to develop landscape, site and parking
design.
Developed all wall and building sections, trash chu te section and selected fire rated sealants for uses in all rated
walls, joints, penetrations.
Santa Cruz Tannery Live/ Work Lofts: 200 unit live-work lofts for low-income artists & musicians. Designed to LEED
Silver. Key tasks performed:
Developed design for main exterior entry stair and side exit stairs to dovetail with overall “modern barn” design
theme.
Balanced structural requirements, building code ventilation calculations, planning commission comments and
façade aesthetics to develop well-composed exterior elevations.
Developed critical waterproofing details throughout the project and designs for structural steel catwalk, steel
stairways.
SUGIMURA ASSOCIATES CAMPBELL, CA

Foothill College Football Stadium Lockers and Restrooms Buildings: Managed the 8,000 SF project from conception to
permit, including conducting client meetings, facilitating agreements between diverse and conflicting g roups of end users.
Supervised production staff and directed workflow from schematic design phase to start of construction.
Foothill College Maintenance Buildings: Designer/ Project Manager for the 5,500 SF building project. Worked closely with
cost estimating firm to balance costs and end user needs through all 4 design phases. Conducted meetings with the Division
of State Architect, Oakland, CA, to dovetail disabled person access for the project with campus wide handicapped
accessibility plan.
Claremont McKenna College Dorms: Directed a 4-person production team to develop construction drawings for 4 new
dorms (total 13,000 SF) and remodel of 4 existing dorms (total 40,000 SF).
