During my time in the National Guard I

have held numerous MOS’s (jobs). My

most recent was two years with the

Military Police. I oversaw 5 to 10

soldiers ensuring their safety and to

guide them through certain objectives.

After 9/11 I was put on active duty in

Portland, Oregon for about six months

at Portland, Oregon Airport. I

underwent 3 days of training on policies

and procedures of the checkpoint

operations. I and two other soldiers

oversaw the daily operations of the

checkpoint and gate screening. On

numerous occasions we along with the

FAA and local law enforcement had to

call breaches and clear the concourses

due to improper procedures that were

bandbury- prep department. I would

where we cut the rubber to certain

department where I set-up presses and

trimmer units. Running SPC’s on parts

per the customers’ requirements to

ensure the customer was getting the

best product. Scheduling what product

to run next to ensure timeliness on

getting the product out by a deadline.

Fireman

In my time in the Navy I learned a lot. I

was a non-designated fireman, which is

where you work within a lot of different

fields to find the best field that suits

you. My time I served with the

electricians and as a engineman. As a

electrician I helped out and learned a lot

about minor electrical repairs,

performing periodic maintenance on all

galley equipment, small engines, pumps

and a lot more equipment. As a

engineman I repaired and maintained

small engines, pumps, air conditioning

and refrigeration. I did preventive

switchboards and also did shore patrol.

I also was appointed as leading fireman

engineman rating. I was a engineman

for about a year before converting over

to the rating of Storekeeper. I was a

Storekeeper for almost two years where

I performed the duties of ordering,

receiving, inspecting, preparing and

maintaining forms, records, reports, and

files, issuing materials and cargo,

inventory of material and equipment

and performed extra duty with hands on

training with the master at arms
