Maintenance Millwright

Duties; My main duties where to keep the production of

Bacon going, so as to meet our quota for the shift. This included maintenance of brine

chill pumps, injectors, hanging tables, smoke houses, presses, slicers, sorting tables

and packaging. The age of this equipment varied from 50 years old right up proto type

machines that I would have to give feedback on ( should we buy one y/n ).

Nov 2007- March 2008 Red Mountain Ski Resort Rossland BC

Maintenance Millwright

Duties; Make sure the ski lifts where safe to operate each day/night. This included

morning start up's, running aux motors, checking safeties. Break downs during the day

had to be assessed quickly ( 7min ) from time of call. ( after 7 min. you need to inform

more people as to the length of the delay). During hours of operation the maintenance

team was on call for anything, but there was always something to fix in the shop, from

snowcat's to snow removal equipment, skidoo’s, ect...

2001-2007 Fortis BC South Slocan B

Maintenance/construction Millwright

Duties; As part of a team of millwright and electrician and plumbers we preformed ULE's

(rebuilds) of hydro electric turbines as it relates to the production of electricity. This

requires a complete teardown /inspection of all parts. We would also do recommended

upgrades at this point. When we were not on a ULE I was part of the maintenance crew,

we would go to each site and do PM's on compressor's, lift pumps, air make up systems

and of coarse check for leak's.

2000-2000 Kewit Construction Castlegar BC

Construction Millwright team member

Duties; At the Arrow lake facility add 2 75mw generators, new installations. Clean,

fit,assemble, test, commission and hand over to the customer 2 working Caplain

Turbines.

1991-1999 Ski Resort Okanogan BC

starting position; Ski Lift operator

Final position ; Millwright

Over 9 years I preformed every outside job as it pertains to running a year round resort.

Over that time I received my Millwright apprenticeship and my Red Seal Ticket.
