Spelman Environmental Statistics Summer Institute’s Post Katrina Air Quality Analysis:
Project was designed to track and determine dispersion of ash from the burning of waste in localities
affected by hurricane Katrina. Used EPA research to determine the path of ash dispersion based on
weather patterns and the concentration of ash based on proximity of non-Katrina affected localities.
