significant vendor to ABN AMRO bank. IBM has a guardian role, which is

responsible for the maintenance of all the production data and

infrastructure.

This project is the handled by multiple vendors, Apart from providing

services to the clients; IBM also acts as a Chain co-coordinator among all

the vendors. IBM is performing the Guardian role. As per guardian role all

the changes which are being created by different vendors will be approved

by BSS and implemented. BSS stands for business service support.

The target of this project is to provide reports to our client ABN AMRO

along with internal reports for IBM and for Third party. I also spend more

than a month at ABN AMRO client site in Netherlands to understand their

whole process and walk through of various source systems.

As a Data Modeler of this ABN AMRO Reporting project, the various

responsibilities are:

Understanding the requirements and going through each of their source

systems

Architect the solution using Data Vault Technology.

Designing and developing Logical/Physical Data warehouse model using data

vault technology, which will be further used by reporting team to generate

reports.

Creating Fast track mapping sheets using Information Server Fast Track .

The system is an ERP solution to automate the Fabric Dyeing Process at NSM.

Right from creation of Purchase Orders and Receiving challans, to complete

packaging and delivery challan, the system takes care of all aspects of the

complete Fabric Dyeing process.

There are several users of the system and all of the people have a distinct

access level. Users are allowed to access sections of the system, depending

on their access levels. For instance a person may only be able to create a

Job Card but not modify it thereon while the CEO may be able to access,

modify, and delete any section of the ERP, although taking care of data

integrity issues.

My role was to construct the forms assigned to me. I have built about 20

ASP forms with complete functionality and validations in the system. I was

also responsible for generating about 5 complex reports for the system.
