Daryl Hoffman
Dear Hiring Manager,
The attached resume is only a brief sampling of my many accomplishments and job
details that I have in manufacturing. I have over 30 years of experience in a
union manufacturing plant. All criteria and aspects as far as new product
trials, problem solving and maintenance issues are under my attention. I worked
my way up from the plant floor to my current position by going above and beyond
to learn the intricacies of all units in the plant. My time as foreman and
production leader was spent out in the plant learning how to tweak the
machinery and guide the unit operators and helpers to make good quality
decisions. I set our plant record of over 1700 days without a lost time
accident when I was in charge of plant safety. My expertise is called on to
solve production and maintenance problems as they arise. I have taken time away
from my normal routine to retrain and teach our associates about quality and
daily operations. Over the years, I have gained expert knowledge of OSHA and
EPA regulations and have attended many training classes in safety and waste
management. I found the advent of lean six sigma very exciting and I was
excited to jump on board to discern some of the best ways lean six sigma could
be implemented.
I take my job very seriously and I have also found my six sigma and lean
training very helpful. On 1-30-2013 my team and I were awarded the 2012 hall of
fame award by our corporation. I was the leader of this kaizen event. There are
only 7 awards given per year out of over 150 entries.
My customer service record stands alone. My references are customers and
vendors, that continue to deal with me on claim issues or new product
development. I have excellent communication skills and let my honesty and
mutual respect for people guide my way. Our sales department consults me on
answering questions from their customer base, as well as getting answers for
their customers concerns and issues.
My job entails a lot more than quality issues and standards. My out of the box
thinking affords me the opportunity to travel around the country to assist our
sales department with new product development and to troubleshoot problems with
our customer's products and equipment with a very high success rate. I enjoy
problem solving and being involved in new projects.
I am looking for employment with a company whose success comes from not only
superb quality and high standards but also from a company that recognizes the
integrity and commitment given by all who work daily to produce the best
possible products. Thank you for your time and consideration for this position.
I hope that you will allow me the opportunity to discuss this opening with you
in person. (I am currently employed. Employer information is available upon
request)
Sincerely,
Daryl Hoffman
