Project 1: HIL validations for Engine Management Systems (EMS) Jul10 -

Dec13

Client: OEM, France

The project mainly aims for the complete validation of the EMS in real time

before the ECU is integrated with system (live/prototype vehicle). Power

train modules are validated to check the functionality of each with

hardware interfacing. Real time static loads are used wherever applicable.

The dSPACE simulator simulates the system with functionalities of other

ECUs as in real time. INCA from ETAS is used for calibration access and

recording the test scenarios. MDA (Measure Data Analyzer) is used to

analyze the obtained reports giving helping in creating the validation

reports. The scenarios, which are not as per the requirements or not as per

the guidelines/references/standards, will be analyzed and software or

specification will have a new cycle accordingly.

Currently working as a Test lead for Safety Monitoring Functions (E-Gas

Monitoring) module testing project of French OEM.

Job responsibilities involve:

Creation and execution of Manual test cases on HIL test bench.

Coordinating activities of the team and giving support for testing.

PL7 is one of the phases of BMW projects. This project is designed for the

Front End Side

of the module to check various functionalities like Exterior lights,

Interior lights, Mirror, Window, Wiper

Washer, Horn which is typically based on the Terminal Control. The purpose

of these projects is to

validate the software against the customer-provided specification and

other reference documents The

validation is carried out based on the test procedure. The programs were

tested on a bench by simulating

the FA-CAN, Body-CAN,ZSG CAN and different discrete inputs

and executed it with the help of Softune workbench to get the Unit Test

Report (UTR). The product value adds by reporting anomalies in the code

like path coverage, boundary check, overflows etc
