PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
LINE-TRACING ROBOT DESIGN
• Designed a line-tracing robot with a group of six.
• The robot is controlled by a Microchip PIC 16F648A chip (using embedded C) and powered by 2 step motors. A 5-
sensor array is used to detect the black line on a white background to control the direction of the robot.
• (Done by me)Designed the mechanical part of the robot, including the main chassis and the distribution of all other
parts on the chassis; debugged the code for the chip; performed functional testing; created a project video.
MODELING OF WIND TURBINE ROTOR AND DRIVE TRAINS
• Using PSCAD to build wind turbine model. Simulated the model to test wind turbine aerodynamic and drive train
models in the time-domain. Run and modify the simulation models to test different characteristics of the wind
turbine.
MODELING OF A FIXED SPEED WIND TURBINE
• Using PSCAD to build wind turbine model. Simulated to test time domain fixed speed and passive stalled
regulated wind turbine model. Run and modify the simulation models to test different characteristics of the wind
turbine.
ROBOTICS LAB
• Written code using IBM AML language. Used the code file to control a 3-DOF robot to make basic movement in a
3 dimensional space and grab and release objects.
CIRCUIT TESTING LAB
• Conducted series labs of Circuit Theory, including characteristics of three-phase circuit, RLC oscillation circuit,
first order circuit response, PCB design and similar experiments.
