Operational Improvements:

• Completed aggressive project within a tight 6-figure budget and right on schedule; as a result, the excess was applied

to Phase 2 to offer a higher level of functionality (Aboriginal Affairs).

• Fortified existing project management tools by introducing an integrated application for all project documentation; as

a result, played an active role in centralizing information capture amongst as many as 8 different sources (Aboriginal

Affairs).

• In light of Company being tied to 2 leases with time-outs of 9/10 and 1/12, contacted a local leasing firm that

furnished a proposal laden with solutions; as a result, delegated the leasing negotiations aspect to experts who could

scope out suitable accommodations at more reasonable prices (Pearson).

• Established regular weekly status reports to furnish executives and team with up-to-date information on work in

progress; also identified risks with corresponding solutions to avert unexpected problems (Public Works &

Government Services Canada).

• Collaborated with Trade Chile to book 14 qualified client meetings (a record for the University of Ottawa EMBA

program since its inception in 1994); as a result, (1) 13 feasibility study requests were commissioned, and (2) client

generated an estimated $60 million in sales (Eco Power Solutions).

• Facilitated the transition from silo-based thinking to shared strategic focus and project management frameworks

across the 3 project, business, and technology teams (CIDA).

Leadership Initiatives:

• Authored portal team’s first -ever operational plan to crystallize goals and targets for staff to aspire to (Canada Border

Services Agency).

• Overcame work-related obstacles with a colleague by actively listening to his concerns and subsequently and

delegating tasks that were a perfect match for his skill set (Bank of Canada).

• Guided stakeholders to define the overall Branch Operations Plan, Standard Operating Procedures, Operational

Process Flows, Operational & Dashboard Reporting Flows, Operational Plan Dependencies, and Monthly Operational

• After just 1 day, took on the extra role of V.P. of Corporate Services to lead 4 direct reports and 23 indirect reports

maintain optimum functionality throughout this time of change and uncertainty (Pearson).

• Chosen by a Director to pen a comprehensive analysis and report to uncover inconsistencies and recommend

solutions that would bring complete operational congruency towards the planning aspect of this ambitious project

(Canada Border Services Agency).

• Built the 8-member project team from the ground up; steered them to on-time delivery of a complete set of business

requirements, process maps, business drivers, risk and technology assessments, and implementation strategy (Bank

of Canada).

ENGAGEMENT HIGHLIGHTS

Cowater International Inc., Ottawa • Project Director 06/13 - 07/13

Leveraged in-depth project management experience to land this role, tasked with instituting a comprehensive project

management framework for a water sanitation project between the Canadian Federal Government and the Government

of Barbados; as a result, they are now equipped to attain consistent and positive results. Assisted and participated with

the team in interviews with the Barbados Water Authority to establish the project end state on this $50 million project

value.

PricewaterhouseCoopers (CBSA), Ottawa • Project Executive 03/13 - 05/13

Led and managed the Maturing CBSA's Project Management Portfolio Project, which included managing the project team

to create a successful engagement and project deliverables. Enabled analysis of the "As Is" state of the EMPO, provided

the "To Be" state, and furnished a new Governance Structure, Capacity Enhancement Plan, and Transformation Scorecard

for the Agency.

Approached by personally-created network of brokers to oversee a staff of 30 in the upgrade of an Electronic Document

Secured this contract through well-cultivated network, tasked with managing Adjudication Tracking System upgrades that

impact nationwide usage.

back to the mid-1990's, securing the relevant data, and creating a new application system to accommodate the #1-

Recruited for this newly-created role based on this Centre’s desire to shift its focus from a government-funded base to a

private-sector model. Served as President’s right-hand person with regard to organizational design and transition

management planning. Held total accountability for 6 (out of 8) work streams that included finance, IM/IT, corporate

infrastructure, organizational design, transition management / planning, and strategic / change management.

Public Works & Government Services Canada (project valued at $300 million), Ottawa •

Senior Project Executive – Shared Travel Services Initiative 10/09 - 03/10

Recruited to lead and restructure the 5-person RFP core team in providing focus and ownership towards the assembly of

a 1,000+ -page document. Delegated 2-3 core sections to each business analyst to better manage this otherwise-

daunting task.

Canada Border Services Agency (project valued at $400 million), Ottawa • Project Executive 02/09 - 07/09

Brought in to lend project management expertise and guide a 4-person team on building the newly-created portal portion

of their e-manifest project.

Eco Power Solutions (project valued at $6 million), Ottawa • Senior Project Executive 08/08 - 04/09

Travelled to Chile to lead a 9-person team (that also included Company’s President, Vice President, and Chief Operating

Officer) towards the research, development, and recommendation for this entity – a multi-million-dollar energy recovery

company – to penetrate the clean energy and power recapture market in Chile, South America. Formulated the

operations plan and recommendations based on results obtained in Chile.

the Inmate Accounting System. Validated the underlying business, financial, and risk assumptions. Verified risk and

financial impacts of the preferred option. Determined anticipated level of project risk contingencies and recommended

project risk management strategies.

National Parole Board, Ottawa 02/05 - 03/05

Senior Project Manager – Treasury Board Submission Review (project valued at $2.2 million)

Audited the correctness and completeness of the Board’s submission for upgrading the Conditional Release System.

Reviewed the validity of the project schedule, budget estimates, and risks; also recommended changes – both in content
